Expert Analysis
Tink Butler | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Stella made the trip to Baltimore with the New Jersey Panthers Blue and made the most out of her day one. It was clear that she had talent from the start. She used her teammates well to assist her in finishing pick and rolls. She also showed she can do it solo using an assortment of step-backs and in-and-out moves into her shot while finishing with contact. She moves fluidly up and down the court and plays with a high IQ.

Stella will be playing for NJ Panthers this AAU season and brings a well-rounded offensive game. She does a great job of driving into the paint and kicking out to open teammates when the defense collapses. She’s a strong finisher off two feet around the rim and has a smooth, balanced stroke from three. Defensively, she creates turnovers with active hands and turns them into fast break opportunities.

Intense competitor. Effective step-back from 18+ feet and short baseline jumper. She got into an offensive flow early and kept the energy going throughout. Strong off the bounce getting to the rim at will.

Stella showed why she can make some noise for IHA this season. She was Player of the Game against Ranney and flashed the same skills she has been showing for United NJ. She plays in control, gets to the rim and finishes, confidently handles the ball and has confidence in her jumper. IHA has a crowded roster of returning players and Stella is ready to stake her claim.
