Stratton Davis Stratton Davis 5'10" | SG State TN has some of the best versatility at the SG position in her class.

Davis can play anywhere on the court. She has the capability of taking over games with her 3-point shooting. But she can also create off the dribble. She can dribble in from the perimeter into a pull-up mid-range shot with ease. She can also work out of the high-post, dribble to the low block, and score with her non-dominant hand.

Davis’ versatility is on the defensive end as well. With her speed and size, she can guard some posts and nearly all perimeter players on opposing teams from their point guard to their small forward.

Alabama Elite 17U had a rocky start to its weekend by virtue of a loss to a tough White Tigers Elite 17U assembling out of Florida. Davis helped her team finish strong on Sunday as it defeated another tough out-of-state squad – Mississippi-based YAG Ballers 17U – by a final score of 47-39. Davis was part of the barrage of 3-pointers that were launched in that contest as she connected on a pair of her attempts from deep. She can set herself up behind the 3-point line but effectively plays at the wing and three well by attacking the rim. A midrange jump shot is also part of her offensive repertoire and her length can clog up an opposing team’s passing lanes. 

Nice size freshman that can play either wing spot efficiently. She may not be the primary ball handler, but she has tight dribbles that enable her the ability to put it on the floor and finish around the rim. She has a bevy of counter moves that she unleashes as she attacks the gaps. She can pull it from all 3 levels, just know giving her space is a mistake. She contributes on the defensive end. Being active on the ball and in gaps. Look for her to have a solid freshman season and continue to build upon this solid foundation she has laid. Has been battle tested, she is a hungry individual who is a grinder. Solid kid with a bright future.
