Summer has recently signed with Randolph Macon University. She is a knock down shooter with deep range but also has the capability to get to her spots off the dribble with either hand. Thomason is skilled and fundamentally sound on the offensive end. Her IQ is high on the court where she understands how to slash and cut to the basket when needed. She also has a nice mid-range jumper.

was moving all over the court relocating to get the pass as she flashed to the block. She hustles back on defense grabbing the steal and immediately finding a place to go with it. She has a quick release on her shot making it difficult for someone to close out and block it. Her attacks to the basket turned into points whether she was banking it off the glass or hitting floaters.

Another product of Lady Attack Elite , Thomason plays for its S40 17U team. A rising senior of a Myers Park team that will make the jump from 4A to 8A beginning this season, Thomason announced a few days ago that she landed an offer from Guilford College. Her recruitment is starting to pick as evidenced the Guilford College offer and her first collegiate offer which was from Randolph-Macon. Thomason saw playing time in 23 games last season for the Mustangs where she averaged 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest. Rebounding and an outside shot are among the many positive attributes to her game.

Thomason is a winner. She is willing to do whatever it takes for her team to win the game. She will rebound, she will defend, she is an elite passer, and Thomason can shoot the basketball. She has a smooth outside shot that goes in with consistency. In any contest, Thomason can connect on multiple three-point field goals.

did well reading the floor, seeing her opening, and shooting her three pointer off the dribble. She did a nice job cleaning up the offensive glass even making shots through contact. She was showing off her versatility on the court crashing the boards and doing work around the perimeter.

has an exceptional shot from around the perimeter. She can make it off the pass or set herself up knocking it down off the dribble. She sees the floor well knowing where to move with and without the ball to create a play, and she can get into the paint easily hitting the floater. She finds her open teammates as they get set up helping them get some points.

Summer Thomason moves well on offense finding the openings, so she can put up her shot right off the pass. She flashes in and out of the paint, too, shifting the defense, and she crashes the boards on both ends going after rebounds for her team. She runs the floor well staying ready for the pass in transition, and she makes nice adjustments going up against hands in her face to score her points at the rim.

Summer Thomason showed off her range shooting the ball. She did a nice job moving without the ball to get the open look, and she was able to shoot right off the pass. You can tell how well she sees the floor with the way she moves on offense whether that is running plays or moving freely on her own.

Summer Thomason has a nice stroke from around the arc, and she does the work without the ball to get open to shoot off the pass. Her quick release makes it difficult for defenders to try to catch up with her. Her ability to read the floor is apparent with the way she can pass and cut filling in open lanes looking for the ball again to score at the rim. She hustles up the court being ready for a pass in transition, and she can definitely handle the ball coast to coast herself.
