One of my favorite players to watch in the 2028 class, Summer is a legit dog. This kid is beyond talented, and she is only scratching the surface of what she can do. For the majority of her high school season, she is clearly the best player on whatever court she is on. But during the AAU season, when the competition really heats up, she still finds a way to stand out. If you have not watched her in person, make sure you get to a game.

There are some players that you know have a different feel and just a natural knack for the game, and Summer fits that bill. She is talented, and her skill set is sharp at this age, and much of it seems instinctive, but the consistency of her game points to a hardworking kid. At all levels, she can put the ball in the bucket, and from a defensive standpoint, she’s not a small guard who can handle contact or multiple positions. She is a special type of prospect and could be in for a huge summer.

There are more levels to scoring than 3.. isolation and the ability to score from the post are two other levels, and Summer has the skillset to be a legit 5 level scorer. This kid can score at her own will.. but she rarely allows the defense to force her into a bad possession or shot. She can make plays for her teammates just as well as she can for herself. A player to look more into as the AAU season picks up.

This kid is simply good at basketball, and for her to find ways to be dominant in a couple of different positions is another reason why she stands out immediately. She plays with a ton of aggression but knows when to slow down and play smooth. Huge fan of how she attacks this game.

The best ability is availability and Summer has shown herself to be versatile in the 1-3 spots. She is honing all her guard skills in the games I have seen her play this summer. Plays with a chip on her shoulder but it isn’t a bad thing-she is tenacious and tough-two things that can’t be taught.

Dynamic and fearless, Toussaint plays with intensity, flair, and a whole lot of swagger. The 5’10 combo guard from Illinois is ranked No. 13 in the state and brings a swashbuckling style to the floor – never passess, always attacking with the skill to make it all work. She’s a creative ball handler who thrives one-on-one and stretches the floor with can bury it from deep-three and in the mid-range. Summer plays fast, defends hard, and never backs down, playing with top-tier insticts and a non-stop motor. She’s very different from her sister Skye Toussaint, who we profiled on Saturday, but just as special.

Summer just moves different with the ball in her hands. I am not sure she even realizes how much potential she shows without having to do too much. You can tell she has a strong understanding of the game but is also getting by on pure feel and flow. It would not be a surprise at all if she picks up a couple Division 1 offers before the summer wraps up.

Summer is simply talented and skilled, but throughout the couple of games I got to watch a few weeks back, her ability to stretch the court really stood out. Whether it’s off a catch and shoot or creating her own space, this kid has that type of range in her skillset. High potential.

Summer has the basics down plus more and she has the athleticism to match it. In the game I watched of her she had a ton of moments that showed flashes of how strong her potential really is. She moves so well all over the court.

Summers footwork at her age is sharper than a ton of upperclassmen that I have seen recently, and you just have to credit that to the work she does behind the scenes. She has great length, which gives her the ability to be impactful in multiple roles on the court, and this high school season she has shown glimpses of how high her potential is.
