The Class of 2027 is making moves as talented seniors across Texas continue to announce their college commitments. These future college athletes are ready to take their talents beyond high school. Here's a look at 27 Texas prospects who are officially off the board, and where they will be competing in their freshman year of college (as of October 2027).

I've been watching Cloud since her days at Hamilton Middle School, when no one in HISD could find an answer for her. She carried that dominance into high school, making her mark in the TAPPS league during her underclassman years at St. Pius X before becoming a key contributor to Shadow Creek's deep playoff run last season. Cloud continued to elevate her stock this summer on the 3SSB circuit. A raw, explosive athlete, she is a force in transition, using her speed, strength, and relentless motor to overpower opponents. She consistently outworks those around her and plays with a passion that fuels her teammates. What has impressed me most about her development is her improved court awareness each year. She's evolved beyond being just a scorer, and will continue to become a more complete player at UTSA under the great Karen Aston.

Roberts has committed to Tarleton State. Her length, consistent elevation, and quick release make it difficult for defenders to contest her shot, particularly from beyond the arc. Green is a lethal three-point shooter who can make defenses pay from beyond the arc, but she's equally capable of putting the ball on the floor and making plays at the rim. Her confidence, toughness, and competitive fire make her an entertaining player to watch and a tough matchup for any opponent.

Georgia Tech commit. Marshall is a true throwback player in the sense that she brings value to the game in so many ways. She takes tremendous pride in her work on the defensive end, and I remember watching her become increasingly intentional about drawing charges during her sophomore season. Those momentum-shifting plays not only gave her team an edge but also energized her teammates. Marshall has been a natural rebounder since before high school (read my first evaluation of her here), largely because of her ability to anticipate where the ball will come off the rim and position herself accordingly. Her basketball IQ, instincts, and willingness to do the little things make her a complete player who understands the game beyond scoring. She's bringing both brains and a well-rounded basketball mindset to the ACC, giving her a strong foundation to compete for minutes at the next level.

Howard University commit Etienne brings an impressive combination of size, speed, and strength at a solid 6 feet. PGH's Simmie Colson previously dubbed her one of the toughest clutch players in the city (read here), and her ability to deliver in big moments speaks for itself. Her stop-and-pop game makes her a difficult matchup, as she can create separation and elevate into her jumper with confidence. However, it's her ability to absorb contact and still finish strong at the rim that truly separates her. Etienne's physicality, offensive versatility, and toughness make her well-equipped to contribute at the collegiate level.

Northwestern State commit Roberts is bringing plenty of toughness with her to Louisiana. Her explosive first step allows her to turn the corner and attack the basket, but defenders have to respect her perimeter game as well. Roberts can heat up quickly from the outside, knocking down shots with a smooth, consistent long-range jumper. Her ability to threaten defenses both off the bounce and beyond the arc makes her a difficult matchup and a valuable offensive weapon at the next level.

I've been watching Cloud since her days at Hamilton Middle School, when no one in HISD could find an answer for her. Roberts has committed to Tarleton State. Her shooting ability has been evident since before she entered high school (read here), and she has continued to develop into a reliable perimeter threat. Her length, consistent elevation, and quick release make it difficult for defenders to contest her shot, particularly from beyond the arc. Throughout her high school career, Roberts has also grown more confident attacking the basket, adding another dimension to her offensive game. With her shooting touch, size, and continued offensive development, Roberts has the tools to make an impact at the mid-major level.
