Athletic guard who is averaging 26.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.9 steals, and 2.4 assists. She can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. Doesn’t matter where she is, she is confident when it comes to letting the ball fly. A game changer for sure, she was a finalist for Ms. Tennessee this past season. Look for her to continue stacking performances as she did this past year and to grab the attention of multiple collegiate coaches at the next level.

This young lady just plays. Pure and simple. A tenacious ballplayer who competes at everything she does. She plays with poise, balance, and really knows how to dissect an opponent’s weakness. She has a tremendous work ethic, and it shows every time the game tips off. She can score from all 3 levels, pull up in transition from various spots with ease, and really impact the ballgame in a multitude of ways. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the offensive end or the defensive end; she’s going to step up and get the job done. Whatever her coach needs, she delivers 110%. South Alabama, Furman, Tennessee Tech and Southern Illinois have something in common. All are schools that have extended offers in the direction of this talented junior two guard from east-central Tennessee. Wilhite resembled the Division I prospect she is when her 3A Cumberland County assembling matched up against Musselman – a team from West Virginia. Wilhite was a key piece in that winning formula with points against the Lady Applemen. Wilhite’s stellar work also included a 41-point outburst in a victory over 5A Division 1 Sumter – a South Carolina team. That performance against the Bulldogs also included eight rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Wilhite submitted last year with her plays that she is undoubtedly a college-level player. This has been given validity with her recently getting an offer to a D1 program from Southern Illinois University.
The things that ultimately stood out about her game from last year were her three-point shooting and playmaking. Last season, she had multiple games with two or more threes. This includes a game against Upperman High School, where she made four threes.
The thing that makes her a dangerous shooter is that she does not care where she is on the court. She can hit a shot from six feet behind the line without hesitation. And while this is considered a bad shot for many high school players, this is a great shot selection for Wilhite.
The Cumberland County product is also a scrappy defender. She does a good job of reading the opposing offense and sticking with her individual assignment.

Tough ball player who is a gamer. She has a nice step-back game in her arsenal of moves. This kid can score it from all 3 levels, but how she does it is amazing. She can put the ball on the floor, utilizing her quick first step to finish at the rim. She has counter moves galore, punch steps, euro, side step, you name it, she has a bag full of those. She plays with such confidence that those around her raise her game as well. She is a solid two-way player who gets after it on every possession.

Sydney is one of the most outstanding athletes on any court she plays on! She stands out immediately. She can score extremely fast. I watched her score 8 points in what felt like 10 seconds. She has great size for the guard position. She has a great release and can knock down shots at any time. She’s different in all aspects of the game. She is on all scouting reports, and she can’t be stopped; not in the high school games or AAU! She’s a star and she is going to continue to blow up!

Well, I will say this, she is a lethal shooter from the arc. Talk about a 3pt machine, she was filling it up from deep. Her confidence was there as she let it fly time after time. When she wasn’t getting buckets, she was grinding it out on the defensive end. She’s a hard nose player that just gets after it. Definitely someone to keep your eyes on for sure.

The freshman phenom is slowly but surely picking up big-time notoriety as a top-tier ’27 in the state. Perhaps the hardest singular skill in basketball is to being able to score the ball when the entire defense knows it’s coming, and is loading up with help defenders keep you from scoring. Wilhite is turning her self into a bonafide shot maker even when she’s being guarded by the other team’s best defender. At 5’10, she has nice size, and is really tough to get a clean contest against. And, she’s a threat to pull from anywhere on the court. She’s a prolific three point shooter, and defenses are trying to get into her “air space” in order to take away the three ball.
Her game has truly evolved over the past season when it comes to attacking closeouts. Just watch the film. She’s beginning to attack defenses with confidence off the bounce, and learning how to use her size/length to get off shots (floaters, lays) even in traffic. She’s even showing some playmaking chops as a passer.
Plus, watch her guard! She can really get after it on defense.

This kid is just unreal. She is consistently putting up numbers that most players can’t dream of. Everyone in the state knows that when you play Cumberland County, you shut down Wilhite….just nobody could do it at BCAT.
Game 1: 25 points
Game 2: 15 points
Game 3: 26 points
Game 4: 21 points
She led Cumberland County to a 3-1 record, and is primed to be receiving more offers soon as a result of her BCAT showing.

There isn’t much this superstar freshman can’t do. No matter the level she’s playing against, people cannot stop her from getting buckets….and as they say “great offense will always beat great defense.” She was who most opponents game planned to stop, and she will see that the next 3 years.
