Bookman is strong and athletic, that’s also the base, and one thing I have always enjoyed about her game is that she battles for everything. She understands positioning to outrebound taller players on both ends, and she can go coast to coast under pressure. Midrange and off the dribble are consistent, and so is her defense

Bookman just continues to amaze me with her “on the court” progression and one of the things I love seeing players do is “things you can’t teach” so her DESIRE and “you won’t outwork me” places her in situations that allow her to play “bigger than she is” as she outrebounds and scores over taller players. Her short jumper, as well as her attacking the basket to score also stood out

Bookman is one of the most powerful guards in the state, all classes included and she can punish defenders off the dribble. I think back to seeing her ELEVATE her game over the past season, starting with the Freshman Showcase and I just smile because she isn’t done. Her midrange looks good, she hits the boards and handles the ball afterward, plus her court vision in transition stood out, so did her defense

Bookman is so active without the ball and she understands how to get open to receive the pass and drop the jumper. Well, she also understands how to create her shot under pressure and drop it with a hand in her face. The “stop and pop” looked good, so did the “catch and shoot” yet her timing and “on the ball” pressure stood out, so did her going after rebounds

Bookman tickled me at the PGH Freshman Showcase as she was down on herself because she felt she wasn’t doing well. I told her, stop thinking that way, you’ve elevated your game since the last Tip Sheet and she smiled, probably thinking I was crazy. During the high school season, I saw her scoring at will via Livestream, and at the start of the club season, she dropped the mic as her jumper was clicking from everywhere and she was seeing the floor, plus her defense was a huge yes

has good size and great hands. There were few possessions with her back-to-the basket, but Bookman was an absolute terror on the boards. An impact player, shoots the long ball well, and a rising defensive IQ. Bookman has a ton of potential.

Bookman has made a dramatic JUMP since the PGH Freshman Showcase and all I could say was wow as she played the passing lane along with rebounding and going coast to coast to score. She also scored off the dribble, showed nice body control after contact as well as dished off the dribble yet her court vision and decision making was solid. She also created her shot under pressure to drop and showed the stop and pop in transition

Bookman has a solid frame for a freshman. Her frame paired with a keen understanding of positioning, allow her to score on taller opponents. So she really isn’t afraid to bang in the paint. On the perimeter, she showed she can beat her defender off the dribble. I saw her make beautiful spin moves and finish at the basket. As she’s learning her team’s offense, she is reading what the defense gives her and attacking gaps to get directly to the basket. I also saw her hit a few three-pointers. She has quite a few tools in her toolbox, and when she tightens her handles she will be even more of a threat.
