Team 3:
Kaylin Brannon-5’5 G (Mt. Pleasant) Platinum
Brannon immediately did it for me by playing the passing lane, something I love seeing players do yet she also attacked the basket to score, even dished off the dribble. Her court vision in the set, as well as in transition was solid, as was her pull-up jumper
Autumn Rose-Gregory-5’3 G (Johnson) San Antonio Aces 2026
Rose-Gregory rose to the occasion by applying solid “on the ball” pressure defensively, I’m talking about in the set as well as a baseline to baseline yet she’s an athletic guard who uses her athleticism well on both ends and when you factor in she attacked the basket with either hand to score, that was nice
Semaj Hebert-5’1 G (Lamar) Houston United Hoops White
Herbert was another athletic guard who brought it on both ends yet her defensive pressure helped to create turnovers I also loved watching her understand how to get hers “in the flow” as well as “playing within herself” so that, along with being “heady” also stood out
Madison Webb-5’4 G (Wimberly) Team Lex
Webb has the right last name because she’s going to create plenty of problems for offensive players. After all, her sticky defense and quick hands were nice. She also did a good job of not only creating her shot under pressure but also knocking the pull-up jumper down with a hand in her face
Izzy Guadamuz-5’6 G (Cleburne) DFW Hawks
Guadamuz was another player that does what I love to see and that’s play the passing lane. She handled the ball and saw the floor after the steal yet she also set the defender up to attack and finish showing good body control after contact. Her outside jumper also looked nice
Alivia Wanton-5’8 G (Royse City)
Wanton was yet another athletic guard who played hard on both ends but peep this, add her to the “playing the passing lane group”. She used a deceptive first step to attack the basket and finish, body control was nice after contact and her court vision and decision-making also stood out
Wrigley Green Wrigley Green 5'8" | CG Argyle | 2027 State TX -5’8 G (Argyle) Pro Skills see evaluation here
Shelby Harrington-6’1 F/C (Aubrey) Phoenix Select
Harrington stands over “the magic number” which is 6’0 and I’ve had several calls from college coaches over the past few weeks asking if I knew of any 2023s at the number that were still available. Hopefully, that got your attention but the intangibles determine how high she climbs, and let me add her frame is “college ready” right now, but her “hands and footwork” to score around the basket are pluses, so are her timing to block shots and when you add her diving for loose balls on the floor, let me drop the #THROWBACK hashtag
Team 4:
Brooke Maupin-5’6 G (Argyle)
Maupin mixes it up nicely on the offensive end and creating her shot instinctively under pressure was very impressive. She attacks strongly to finish, and she also can dish going full speed, in traffic but her court vision is just solid across the board. Her crossover will be one of her”go-to” moves and she used it well in transition plus her mid to long-range jumper is going to create problems
Lauren Gilbert-5’6 G (Royse City)
Gilbert is yet another athletic guard who brought heat on both ends of the court. She has a nice first step, slight HEZ to get the defender off balance yet she finishes strongly, at times, off-balance but body control always is a plus, especially after contact. She also showed she could knock down shots from outside her defense was smothering at times
Mady Walker-5’6 G (Prosper) Texas Lone Star
Walker Texas Ranger immediately pooped into my head because she is from Texas and she has good range on her pull-up jumper. She can drop it in the set, as well as in transition but her ability to “catch and shoot” was smooth and will give her options because she can also take the defender off the dribble to score. Court vision was also nice
Lyla Delafosse-5’7 (Tomball Memorial) Cy Fair Premier see evaluation here
Mia Rodriguez Mia Rodriguez 5'4" | PG Birdville | 2027 TX -5’4 G (Birdville) Pro Skills
Rodriguez is heady, she understands and comprehends the little things that turn out to be big so watching her make good decisions on who to get the ball to was nice, yet she also threaded the needle between defenders while attacking the basket. Her body control on her finishes after contact was also solid
Avery Billotte-5’4 G (Royse City) BIG U
Billotte had me smiling watching her take the defender off the dribble from a variety of angles yet when she dropped the FLOTA going full speed, that JUST DID IT for me. She stays under control, she understands how to create her shot from outside and get it off, well drop, it too while being defended and her court vision was also nice
Lilah White-5’4 G (East Central)
White was another guard who did a good job of not only creating her shot under pressure but also knocking it down with a hand in her face. Her mid to long-range game was nice, she also showed the pull-up jumper in transition. She scored off the dribble and applied “on the ball” pressure in the set as well as full-court
Syniah Bookman-5’8 G/F (Just Play) St Pius X
Bookman found ways to be relative and her using her frame to score over taller players in the paint had me smiling. She also understands positioning, which helped her rebound over taller players on both ends, but her defensive pressure was very good in the set, she even showed she could apply pressure in the backcourt. She attacked the basket strongly and finished the same way
Faith Etienne-5’11 G/F (Killeen Ellison)
Etienne is “long and athletic” which I think a wise man calls the base. That same wise man knows she’s close to “the magic number” which is a double plus for college coaches so what are her intangibles? She can score off the dribble, she elevates not only for rebounds but over players to score in the paint. Her jumper from midrange is solid, she blocks shots and plays the passing lane
Payton Applegate-5’11 F (Mineola) Unity 2027
Applegate is very close to that “magic number” but watching her play as if she’s taller gets her the #THROWBACK hashtag simply because of her DESIRE to go after everything off the rim, I love things you can’t teach and watching her BATTLE and show “you won’t outwork”me on the court is nice, so was her interior defense and she scored around the basket
