Taya Pinneo Taya Pinneo 5'4" | PG Shelby-Rising City | 2025 State NE is a crafty difference maker with the basketball in her hands and she has had that ability on full-display the past three years at the Varsity level with her Shelby-Rising City High School team. Pinneo is a 5’4 PG, that understands her own ability, situational basketball, how to make something out of nothing, and most importantly – she is willing to leave her body on the line for the success of her team. Coming back from last season, Pinneo will be a top PPG returner out of the D1 Class, no matter of age or Class level, so it’ll be fun to see what she can do once again this season.

Taya Pinneo Taya Pinneo 5'4" | PG Shelby-Rising City | 2025 State NE of Shelby-Rising City High School is someone that might only stand at 5’4-5’5 but her play-style speaks volumes to who she is as a competitor. This is one of the only PG’s ranked in the Top 25 for PPG, demonstrating her ability to not only create and facilitate others but her ability to create for herself in both the half or full courts in transition. This Winter Pinneo is going to build on what she did for her Junior season when she averaged 16 PPG, 3.3 RPG, and 1.3 APG. As long as everyone on her team comes correct and she continues to do her thing, I’m sure this is someone that we will hear more and more about as her Senior season comes to a close. She has been a difference maker for her program the last three years and that won’t change this Winter.

Taya Pinneo Taya Pinneo 5'4" | PG Shelby-Rising City | 2025 State NE of Shelby-Rising City has been a standout for her team ever since she started high school. Pinneo maybe a smaller guard but she plays a big game. Her best ability would be shooting the ball in my opinion but the reason she gets open is what is actually important. What I mean by that is, her movement off of the ball is fantastic. After she passes, she does a great job at moving away from the play to spread the floor. If she receives it back, she is always locked and loaded to shoot with a wide stance and balanced shot. Most of the shots that I see her make are off of a quick catch but she isn’t afraid to let it go off of the dribble either. Pinneo has been averaging around 17 PPG this season on 43% shooting. If she can keep this up and everyone else around her takes care of their matchup, this Huskies team could finish over .500 before things are all said and done at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
