Shephard’s first impression was a good one and it happened on the defensive end as she was able to pick the ball off of a dribbler while applying full court pressure early in the game. Shortly after that, Taylor grabbed a missed shot and converted the put back off the glass to help get her team off to a quick start. From then on, Shephard relentlessly attacked the rim with regularity, either scoring or ending up at the free throw line. Shephard also did a nice job sprinting out on the break and finishing with both hands at the rim.
