She competes with a nonstop motor, consistently putting herself in position to secure rebounds, chase down loose balls, and win 50-50 plays that swing momentum in her team’s favor. Once she gathers the rebound, she’s comfortable initiating the break, but she also shows the maturity to slow the game down when needed and get her team organized in the half court.

She handles defensive pressure with confidence, using a polished handle and change-of-direction moves to maintain possession and create space. Her high basketball IQ, toughness, and willingness to do the dirty work make her the type of player coaches love to have on the floor because she finds ways to positively impact winning without needing the offense built around her. Those qualities earned Barnett a spot in the latest Class of 2030 rankings, where she debuts at #12 with plenty of room to continue climbing as her game develops.

Barnett played with a relentless motor, hustling for defensive rebounds and loose balls to create extra possessions. She pushed the tempo after rebounds but also showed good pace in the half court, using a controlled behind-the-back move to protect her dribble and settle the offense. Her constant effort and willingness too make hustle plays impacted the game on both ends of the floor.

Tyler used her athleticism well on the defensive end where she was able to grab multiple steal on the ball and shooting the passing lanes. She had strong cuts to the basket where she was able to catch and finish in rhythm. As a rising freshman she seems to have the foundation in place to have an nice high school season.
