She has a soft touch around the rim and does a great job at utilizing her quick first step to get to the bucket. She knocks down jumpers too and has already had a couple games over 30 points.

Venable is a really active and aggressive playmaker for Black Hills who not only plays with pace and good instincts, but sees the floor well and can quickly read defenses to make key passes. She does a great job creating passing angles, seeing opportunities to push the ball up early in possessions, and making key skips to shift the defense.

The Black Hills guard is a solid combo guard who plays with confidence and makes good, quick decisions. She can use ball fakes and her dribble to set up passing angles, makes good reads in different situations, whether it’s passes over the top in transition, or reading back cuts on the weak side, and plays hard on both ends. She’s a guard to watch who can make things easy on her teammates.

Tyler’s game on the court in my eyes took a big jump. She became much more consistent and is able to score from all 3 levels. She has a high IQ of the game, knowing what she is going to do next time she gets the ball. She finds the weak spots in the defense quickly, moving off ball well to get open.
