Batista will be staying in NC playing for Belmont Abbey. Batista has really taken advantage of filling in various roles for her teams stepping up where they need her most. She has been known to dominate the block with her post moves, but she can certainly step outside the paint to put up a jump shot. She constantly moves on offense finding the gaps and making the defense shift to try to prevent her from scoring. She is a shot blocker using her wingspan to protect the basket.

Valeria Batista Valeria Batista 5'11" | PF Victory Christian | 2023 NC has really grown over the past year stepping up for her teams in more ways than just around the block. Starting there, though, she can post up anyone to score her points, and she reads her defender well knowing how to move her body to score. She has expanded the floor showing off jump shots from inside the perimeter, and she can move with or without the ball to get open shifting the defense with ease. She uses her athleticism to grab rebounds away from her opponents.
