Waukee NW is poised to put together a rememberable season at the Varsity level. One of the reasons for that will be their Post play underneath with players like Victoria Burpo Victoria Burpo 6'0" | PF Waukee NW | 2028 State IA . Burpo, a 6’0 PF, just received her first D1 offer from down South this past AAU season and she is ready to build on that momentum. Burpo is a handful with a lot of power to back up her skill-set. She is very good at bullying individuals that might be smaller than her next to the basket. If she happens to miss an offensive attempt, her mixture of size and skill is good enough to get her own rebound and put it back up for a simple conversation. This happens on a lot of missed shots in general. Burpo is thorough at cleaning up the boards on both ends and I’m sure we will continue to see that more and more moving into her Sophomore season with the Wolves.
