It’s bombs away for this elite Ohio senior! Whitney has been known for years as being able to score in bunches with one of the greatest perimeter games in Ohio. She can knock them down from anywhere behind the arc at any time. Can bounce off the screen and knock down the three, gets her shot off quickly and is difficult to defend. She moves well without the ball and will get herself into position, but she also has good handles and distributes of all well with good court vision and a high IQ. Headed to Kent State! 

Stafford can do it all on the basketball court! The Kent State commit can score at a high clip and be the consistent threat on both ends of the floor! Defensively, she can also force pickups causing turnovers forcing four steals in Olentangy’s win versus Mason. I see a great deal of positives in Stafford’s game. From her scoring to her passing, Olentangy has a capable combo guard who can flat out dominate the offensive end of the floor for the Braves!

It doesn’t matter if Whitney’s wearing a mask, double teamed, or face guarded, the Kent State signee has seen it all! And it simply doesn’t phase her.  If anything, I think it fuels her fire even more!  Stafford was just 1 rebound shy of a double- double with 32 points & 9 rebounds.

She is a player very deserving of this consideration! An absolute scoring machine, Whitney is one of the most prolific three-point shooters in the Buckeye state. Great head on her shoulders, great leader, and is also a player who can play up-tempo style and move the ball well. Amazing energy!

Stafford, who recently signed with Kent State, has been widely known around Ohio and the mid-west for her rainbow stroke from deep, catch and shoot with precision, and aggressive defense that opponents wish would just simmer for a moment! I’m pretty confident Stafford was somehow playing basketball in the womb because the game has always come so natural to her- all aspects of the game! And yet, her game continues to rise like bread! Kent State- you’ve got a gem coming your way!

Simply refer to her as the human highlight reel from the three-point line. Whitney can score from anywhere and fire up any defensive plays to make a stop. Gorgeous maneuvers that only require a dribble to get her to the basket with her length! Due to her sheer drive, she is the kind of guard who will pull down rebounds with the same regularity as a post player and make plays in the paint. She moves up to spot number 5 in the rankings!

My first time seeing Whitney play in person and it left a lasting impression! On a team full of superstars, she shined just as bright! Her defense was stifling, applying menacing ball pressure and locking down the perimeter. Pick-pocket hands led to a number of steals. On offense, she used screens effectively to create space for 3’s. Her energy was absolutely contagious!
