Griffith can shoot the three ball at a high rate and she loves to go down hill to the basket. Griffith can also rebound the ball and she did all of the above at The UNF Team Camp.

Griffin is well known in North Florida and her recent performances in travel ball and at the FABC showcase is allowing college coaches and programs to see her on the big stage. Griffin can shoot from the outside, she can get the to the rim and do so with a lot of power. She has he versatile game allowing her to step out behind the arc and pull up for the three, or rip into the paint for the mid-range shot. It’s this versatility that has caused a push upward in the rankings. Griffith is primed for a special run in July.

Zara Griffin is putting some impressive film together and her stock is rising, especially in the rankings. Her ability to play on the inside and outside is impressive. Griffin can shoot in from behind the arc and can also put it on the floor and get to the rim. That strength, energy, footwork, and physicality were all on display and her stock continues to rise. Griffin has played in front of many coaches and programs and she has been impressive.

I saw her briefly at the Sunshine Showdown and she was bringing physicality as well. If there is a loose ball rolling on the floor or and offensive rebound waiting to be snagged, Griffith is likely in the area. The power forward ran the floor well and finished strong. Griffith is no stranger to the First Coast, but seeing her in the power position is a treat. You see the versatility that she brings to the court.

Griffith adds a lot of versatility to the power forward position including three point shooting and ball handling. Griffith also plays well in the transition game. She is fast and athletic and stands out on fast breaks and in an up tempo environment. Griffith can get to the rim and especially when covered by a 4 or 5. She has stretch-four abilities and can pull the defense out to cover her. She hasknocked down 17 threes for the season. She also averages over 7 rebounds per games.

Showed some versatility and definitely, the “My Time label fits. Several captains graduated and that role will be filled by Griffith and Harris. Griffith gets down hill in a hurry, but can also shoot the jumper. In the preseason, she was consistent from the outside, including knocking down a few from behind the arc. Griffith rebounds well and also so can pass the ball. Though she plays the four position, she has good ball handling skills and does assist with press breaks and initiating the offense.

Griffith is at her best when taking the ball to the rack and scoring in the paint. She is also very effective at battling on the offensive rebound and scoring off of put-backs. Griffith is set to be a leader this season, and after she dives on a concrete floor and runs into the stands to get a loose ball, she will have no problem getting her teammates to follow her.

Zara Griffin has put in the work and has evolved into one of the top Power Forwards on the First Coast. Griffin combines power with speed and determination, and no forward is more determined than she to get the job done. She plays with an edge, and it’s her effort that is her calling card. She possesses the ability to score the ball on drives and has a nose for rebounds and loose balls, but it’s her effort that stands out. Take the Fall League matchup against Creekside; Griffin found herself on the floor throughout the game, fighting for loose balls. She can score in the paint and has really good footwork to maneuver for the shot. In addition to these characteristics, Griffin is also faster than most power forwards. She fills the lanes well on fastbreaks and is skilled enough to handle the ball and lead the break. Offensively, the versatile forward hs a nice midrange shot and can shoot from behind the arc and hit the three.
