Brown’s highlight reel simply from this game alone proves exactly why she will be heading to the Midwest to play Division I basketball at Saint Louis beginning next season. J.L. Mann is not an easy team to beat but the 21 points Brown placed on the scoreboard were huge in Legacy Early College’s 71-40 victory over the Patriots. One may think four or five when one sees Brown but that automatically changes to one when one sees Brown on the court. Among the many attributes to her overall game is her ability to shoot 3-pointers accurately not to mention the incredible court vision she possesses.

Brown loves to get the ball downhill with her play from the perimeter. Zhykera looks to overpower defenders while the playing game through contact on the way to the bucket. She’s a physical guard who recently picked up offers from St Louis University and Tulsa.
Zhykera at times doesn’t get enough credit for her passing skills. She really can set-up her teammates well with her court vision from out top. She rebounds the ball well from her position on both ends of the court.

A skilled combo guard from the South Carolina Upstate, Brown has played at the varsity level since she was in the eighth grade. Her final season at Legacy Early College looms on the horizon and she recently added an offer from the Billikens of Saint Louis to her impressive resume. Brown already had offers from Appalachian State, Presbyterian College, Tulsa and North Carolina A&T. Her travel career has included running with Upward Stars . Brown played a massive role into the Lions finishing the 2023-24 season with a record of 20-8 – which included finishing the season with a four-game winning streak.

Brown is back at Legacy Early College after starting the school year at Quality Education Academy in North Carolina. Zhykera really can get the ball downhill to the cup when needed. She can set up shop out on the perimeter for a jumper when she’s not bullying defenders on the way to the bucket.

Zhykera Brown had a tough second half stripping the ball away from her opponents and immediately pushing it up the court. She had a nice fast break take showing off a spin move and a finish at the rim, and she doesn’t back down from contact making her points count from the free throw line. She can knock it down from deep, too.

Zhykera Brown was working hard scoring on all levels on offense. She hustles up the court looking for the open pass to score on fast breaks, and she makes smart cuts getting the open look for some points off the pass. She can knock down her shot from deep, and she jumps right into defensive mode after taking the shot grabbing a steal on the other end.

Zhykera Brown had some nice ball moves taking the ball coast to coast on her own. She can score on any level. She was great driving the ball aggressively using her body and strength to protect the possession and score some points even if she has to go against some post players. She flashes in the paint for points getting the pass and putting up reverse layups. She has excellent timing with her ball moves knowing when to dribble it behind her back to change directions and use crossovers effectively to get some space.
