- Hannah Krumweide is more than a scorer. While she will certainly put up more than her share of points for Carrollton in her senior season she is also an excellent floor leader. She has shown over the summer that she can and will play the pass first role and let her teammates score their points. She is an excellent softball player and maybe an even better student so a D3 school should take a shot at getting her interest right away.
- Jerseyville is going to be a tough out every night. Clare Breden and Abby Manns will certainly get their points as they averaged almost 30 between them last year, but it doesn’t end there. Hannah Hudson and Brooke Tuttle return along with a group of other talented players that will definitely prove that this isn’t just a two player show. Hudson led the team in rebounding and returns to expand on her game.
- Triad will be much improved. With Heather Rood and Ali Barisch returning in the backcourt as the leading scorers and inside players like Caliegh Miller and Krista Cochran returning there is a good nucleus to build from. With addition of incoming freshman Alyssa Powell who is tall, strong and athletic, Triad will be a force to deal with in the lane.
- Alton Marquette finished on a good note with the confirmed addition of a couple of incoming freshmen that will make a difference in the program. Adrenna Snipes is one of the most gifted point guards in the area. She is fast, she earned two medals at the IESA state track meet as an 8th grader including 4th in the 100 and 1st in the 4×200. She is skilled and very hard to keep out of the lane and a very willing passer. She is a difference maker for Coach Green. In addition Kamryn Fandrey has decided to attend Marquette. Kamryn is an excellent defender and has shown the ability to handle the ball and distribute while playing for the Crossover select team. Kamryn will take some time to develop but with Abby Williams and Jillian Nelson the Explorers have 4 freshman that may contribute on the varsity level this year.
It has been an excellent summer for the teams that participated and we are looking forward to November.
