Hargroves approach to the game will be appreciated next year in Lincoln, and her skillset could earn her quality minutes in year 1. As a 6’2 forward/post, Amiah can stretch the floor on both sides of the ball, protect the paint, and be a playmaker from the post. Her potential is sky high, and her game can translate immediately.

One of the most dominant players in Illinois. The Nebraska commit has the ability and skillset to be impactful in multiple positions, and that’s on both sides of the ball. Finishing her junior campaign with a trip to the 1A title game. Hargrove finished her season averaging a double-double (21 PPG and 12 RPG) and a First Team All State selection by both the IBCA and The Associated Press. A superb talent with tremendous potential.

Coming in a number two, there’s no doubt why Hargrove had the 5 spot leap. She was a focal point on a team that made it to state, and she left her imprint on both games. Her skillet is so smooth, that the game seems to come to her with ease. She is money in the midrange, and has the soft touch around the rim that every stretch big needs to be effective. Amiah seems to be very quiet, but is a great teammate on that court and bench. (Ex. one of her teammates came to the bench visibly upset after their state loss, and Hargrove immediately started to let her know it was okay, but just rubbing her back, barely any words). Things like that should never go unnoticed. A top talent in this state for sure.

A high-ceiling prospect with elite skill, Hargrove led Christopher HS to the 1A title game, while averaging 21 PPG and 12 RPG. She can play multiple positions on offense with her reliable ball-handling and natural scoring ability from anywhere on the court. Amiah uses her length to rise over defenders and knock down shots at a high rate and consistently scores at the rim through contact.
