Pt. One Title IX All DMV Tournament Team: Presented By Prep Girls Hoops MD/DC/VA

<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #000080;font-size: 14pt;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Title IX All DMV Tournament Team: Part One</strong></span></span> &nbsp; The Title IX Holiday Classic hosted over 75 teams from across the country and Prep Girls Hoops was in the building for the entire duration of the three day event.  With so many teams and players this list will be very extensive but, rest assured there was a lot of outstanding play on the five courts. &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Jakia Brown-Turner - Bishop McNamara</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_22868" align="alignnone" width="150"] Jakia Brown-Turner[/caption] Jakia's 19 point championship game performance earned her the bracket mvp award.  Overall she had three solid all around performances scoring and rebounding in double digits in each. &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Myah Simmons - Roland Park</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_22869" align="alignnone" width="150"] Myah Simmons[/caption] Myah is only a freshman but she shined brightly on the big stage.  Her three point accuracy was huge in the Reds making in to the championship game and them competing against the nations top team.  She handled the point guard position like a seasoned veteran even when being pressured. &nbsp; <span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Kennedy Fauntleroy - Rock Creek Christian Academy</strong></span> [caption id="attachment_22866" align="alignnone" width="150"] Kennedy Fauntleroy[/caption] The Ginsberg Bracket wasn't tournament play but Rock Creek went undefeated and Kennedy led the way averaging over 25 points per game.  She was the best player on the court in each game. &nbsp; <span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Shanell Haskins - Capital Christian Academy</strong></span> [caption id="attachment_22870" align="alignnone" width="150"] Shannell Haskins[/caption] Shanell averaged over 30 points per game in the tournament and was phenomenal at the point and off the ball.  She was deadly from beyond the arc making six 3-pointers in each game. &nbsp; <span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Ellie Mitchell - Georgetown Visitation</strong></span> [caption id="attachment_22867" align="alignnone" width="150"] Ellie Mitchell[/caption] Georgetown Visitation breezed through the Patsy Mink Bracket going 3-0 in their championship run.  Ellie had a couple of 20 plus games including a 22 point 15 rebound performance against the Perry School. &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline"><strong>PAT SUMITT BRACKET</strong></span></span> Mir McLean - Roland Park Liatu King - Bishop McNamara * Jakia Brown-Turner - Bishop McNamara Myah Simmons - Roland Park Aliyah Matharu - Bishop McNamara * Makayla Daniels - Frederick Ja'Niah Henson - Roland Park Anissa Rivera - National Christian Academy Yonta Vaughn - Bishop McNamara Tyinahia Skinner - National Christian Academy Madison Scott - Bishop McNamara &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline"><strong>RUTH BADER GINSBERG BRACKET</strong></span></span> <b>Kennedy Fauntleroy - Rock Creek Christian Academy</b> Azzi Fudd - St. John's College &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline"><strong>BERNICE SANDLER BRACKET</strong></span></span> <b>Shanell Haskins - Capital Christian Academy</b> Jessica Singletary - Dunbar * Brooke Anya - St. Andrews Episcopal Kristin Lucas - Stone Ridge Nycarra Minnis - Parkdale Simone Foreman - St Andrews Episcopal Jocelyn Johnson - Capital Christian Academy Adiya Jones - McKinley Tech Chetanna Nweke - Stone Ridge &nbsp; <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline"><strong>PATSY MINK BRACKET</strong></span></span> Ellie Mitchell - Georgetown Visitation Latavia Jackson - North Point * Charia Roberts - Pikesville * Taylor Webster - Georgetown Visitation Kennedy Davis - North Point Samera Smith - Eleanor Roosevelt Claire Burke - Georgetown Visitation Makayla Adams - Eleanor Roosevelt Natalie Johnson - North Point Amayah Frazier - Pikesville &nbsp; <ul> <li><em><span style="font-size: 10pt">Selected by the IH as a top 10</span></em></li> </ul> <span style="font-size: 10pt"><em>Title IXAll Tournament Team Part 2 up next</em></span>
