<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #000080;font-size: 18pt;text-decoration: underline">Standouts: DMV Elite Live Period Warm Up</span></span></strong> DMV Elite has been putting together rock solid tournaments for years and this has been one of the best we've seen as far as the talent level, media and coaching turnout.  High level boys and girls teams from the DMV and out of town converged at three locations .  Here are some preliminary thoughts. DC Premier and Maryland Liberty 16U teams and 17U teams played in back to back games.  Both DC Premier teams came out on top both games but not without being challenged by a scrappy Lady Liberty team.  Here are some players that stood out. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Tyinhia Skinner - DC Premier 17U</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_41044" align="alignnone" width="300"] Ty Skinner[/caption] Ty scored 13 points in the win with a combination of twos and threes.  She played both guard positions well and was the fastest player on the court at both ends. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Sanai Harris - MD Lady Liberty 17U</strong></span></span> With the Liberty down 18 points Sanai started off the comeback with a three pointer and capped it off with back to back three's to tie the game before the half.  Her shooting seemed to create a burst of energy amongst her teammates. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>L'or Mputu - DC Premier 17U</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_41046" align="alignnone" width="300"] L'or Mputu[/caption] L'or showed some good work inside and the ability to finish in traffic.  She was relentless on the offensive glass looking for opportunities to give her team a second chance after the miss. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Jenesis Massenburg - DC Premier 16U</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_41047" align="alignnone" width="300"] Jenesis Massenburg[/caption] Jenesis showed really good accuracy from the three.  She knocked down open shots repeatedly and showed a lot of speed in transition while finishing the break. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Jocelyn Johnson - DC Premier 16U</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_41045" align="alignnone" width="300"] Jocelyn Johnson[/caption] &nbsp; There was a period when Jocelyn got into her groove and was the best player in the building.  She started winding up and pulling up off the dribble knocking down shot after shot.  She hit a couple of threes in rhythm and attacked the basket athletically off the bounce. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>Na'Khari Seymore - MD Lady Liberty 17U</strong></span></span> Na'Khari was able to use her defense to create a couple of fast break opportunities.  She also showed she can knock down the three from deep. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000"><strong>Paris Mc Bride - DC Premier 17U</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_41042" align="alignnone" width="300"] Paris McBride[/caption] Paris came in and made an impact immediately.  She showed her range from 3, and got teammates involved from the point.  She has a quick first step and blew by defenders on the way to the basket for a score with contact.
