The 2020 Miss Basketball award is just about a year away. It’s definitely too early, but lets take a look at some contenders anyway.
<h2>The Favorites</h2>

Clerkley is an athletic rebounder and defender. She is a sure fire Division 1 talent. Clerkley will be a double-double factory in her senior season.

She’s probably the front runner as of now. She’s outstanding in transition, but can play at any pace. Elliott is a special athlete and winner that simply knows how to play the game.
<strong>Makailah Griggs-Ziegler </strong>(2020, Wing, Wayne Memorial)
Wayne Memorial keeps sending disciplined and well schooled players through the ranks. Griggs-Ziegler is the next on the list.

McEvans should have a big senior season. With her attacking style and top notch team, she’ll make noise.

Sollom is an amazingly skilled post player. She has excellent footwork and can score in a variety of ways.

Wagner continues to impress. The way she handles the ball and finds ways to effect a game, she’s a definite contender.
<h2>In The Mix</h2>
<strong>Kenzie Lewis </strong>(2020, PG, Williamston)
Lewis just keeps improving and showing her skill set. The way she runs an offense and gets buckets puts her in an elite class.

McQueen is a versatile guard that can score and distribute. She’s on pace for a huge senior season.

Nye is an elite athlete and a skilled basketball player. She has all the tools needed to have a say in next years Miss Basketball race.

Tyson is a player that you have to see to believe. She’s so quick and fast with the ball. Tyson is a rising prospect and will make a lot of noise her senior year.
<strong>Maddie Voelker </strong>(2020, PG, Goodrich)
Voelker scorched the nets this season and will do more of the same next year. With the numbers that she puts up, she has to be on the list.

Williams sent a message this season. She’s a ligjtning bolt for River Rouge and her explosiveness will turn heads.

She’s a defensive stopper who showed marked improvement offensively this season. Blanchard is a well rounded player that will be primed for a great senior campaign.

The Bowling Green commit is one of the top post players in Michigan. She is a force in the paint and can go toe to toe with anyone in the state.

Her versatility, defense, and ability to handle the ball are a combination that screams "Miss Basketball".
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126239" first="Hannah" last="Spitzley"] </strong>(2020, SF, Pewamo-Westphalia)
Spitzley is a leader and a consistent scorer. As a top wing in Michigan, she could be a threat.

Stuck can flat out score. She’s an electrifying shooter and will put up Miss Basketball numbers next season.
