Way Too Early 2020 Miss Basketball

The 2020 Miss Basketball award is just about a year away. It’s definitely too early, but lets take a look at some contenders anyway. <h2>The Favorites</h2> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126233" first="Jasmine" last="Clerkley"] </strong>(2020, F, Okemos) Clerkley is an athletic rebounder and defender. She is a sure fire Division 1 talent. Clerkley will be a double-double factory in her senior season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="2478" first="Gabrielle" last="Elliott"] </strong>(2020, Wing, DEPSA) She’s probably the front runner as of now. She’s outstanding in transition, but can play at any pace. Elliott is a special athlete and winner that simply knows how to play the game. <strong>Makailah Griggs-Ziegler </strong>(2020, Wing, Wayne Memorial) Wayne Memorial keeps sending disciplined and well schooled players through the ranks. Griggs-Ziegler is the next on the list. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126235" first="Cheyenne" last="McEvans"] </strong>(2020, SG, Southfield A&amp;T) McEvans should have a big senior season. With her attacking style and top notch team, she’ll make noise. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23748" first="Whitney" last="Sollom"] </strong>(2020, F/C, Hartland) Sollom is an amazingly skilled post player. She has excellent footwork and can score in a variety of ways. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="2516" first="Shaulana" last="Wagner"] </strong>(2020, SG, DEPSA) Wagner continues to impress. The way she handles the ball and finds ways to effect a game, she’s a definite contender. <h2>In The Mix</h2> <strong>Kenzie Lewis </strong>(2020, PG, Williamston) Lewis just keeps improving and showing her skill set. The way she runs an offense and gets buckets puts her in an elite class. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126236" first="Aaliyah" last="McQueen"] </strong>(2020, CG, Flint Carman Ainsworth) McQueen is a versatile guard that can score and distribute. She’s on pace for a huge senior season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23749" first="Aaliyah" last="Nye"] </strong>(2020, Wing, East Lansing) Nye is an elite athlete and a skilled basketball player. She has all the tools needed to have a say in next years Miss Basketball race. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126237" first="Daija" last="Tyson"] </strong>(2020, PG, DEPSA) Tyson is a player that you have to see to believe. She’s so quick and fast with the ball. Tyson is a rising prospect and will make a lot of noise her senior year. <strong>Maddie Voelker </strong>(2020, PG, Goodrich) Voelker scorched the nets this season and will do more of the same next year. She’s a ligjtning bolt for River Rouge and her explosiveness will turn heads. <h2>Watch Out For</h2> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126242" first="Kadyn" last="Blanchard"] </strong>(2020, G, Freeland) She’s a defensive stopper who showed marked improvement offensively this season. Blanchard is a well rounded player that will be primed for a great senior campaign. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23755" first="Sophie" last="Dziekan"] </strong>(2020, C, Brighton) The Bowling Green commit is one of the top post players in Michigan. She is a force in the paint and can go toe to toe with anyone in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23751" first="Cameron" last="Grant"] </strong>(2020, F, Macomb Dakota) Her versatility, defense, and ability to handle the ball are a combination that screams "Miss Basketball". <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="126239" first="Hannah" last="Spitzley"] </strong>(2020, SF, Pewamo-Westphalia) Spitzley is a leader and a consistent scorer. As a top wing in Michigan, she could be a threat. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="23753" first="Elise" last="Stuck"] </strong>(2020, G, Charlevoix) Stuck can flat out score. She’s an electrifying shooter and will put up Miss Basketball numbers next season. &nbsp;
