This year at the event, the Girls Basketball Association included an exposure division, which allowed Division One college coaches to attend and view some of the top players.
Over the next three days, a look at some of the top players from the Exposure Division. Today, a look at five point guards who were impressive.
Ellen Meyer, 5-10 2023, 937 Hoop Dreams- In the game I saw, I was impressed with Ellen’s ability to get to the rim and score. She was not afraid of contact, and went strong in the paint. She was an athletic point guard with good handles. She was aggressive with her game. Did a good job with leadership and moved well.
Ellison Kallner, 5-6 2021, Team Ohio Conner- A sophomore this year at Wheelersburg, Ellison showed me good things with her on-ball defensive intensity. Active hands on defense, and is a smart player, looking to get her teammates involved. Runs the floor well in transition, and showed a lot of promise over the next couple of years.
Jodee Austin, 5-3 2020, Advanced Game- one of the more underrated guards in the Dayton area, she played well with her team last weekend. Loves to push the ball on the break with good handles. Shines in transition, and anticipates well which leads to the break. Good on-ball defender with good lateral movement.
Katelynn Campbell, 5-5 2022, Ohio Stars- a kid who has improved her game. Katelynn is a kid with hard-nosed intensity, working hard when she is on the court. She is a good shooter with good handles. Moves well.
Gianna Kuhn, 5-7 2023, Ohio Xtreme- really liked this kid who does a good job finishing at the rim, strong on the break and pushes well in transition. Good handles and finds the best shot with solid passing. Good on-ball defender.
