The 2019 class was dominant across the state. With those ladies out the door, we break down which players should be expected to be near the top of the stats leaders lists next season. These are in No Particular Order and are not the same as class rankings.
Kennedy Igo, George Rogers Clark – Igo was the best 3 point shooter in Kentucky as Junior. She made 45% of her attempts over the course of the season and was making more than 2 per game. Already committed to NKU, Igo is looking to become an even better shooter before moving on to the next level.
Addison Sutton, North Hardin – Second in the state in three point shooting and 8th in the state in 3s made per game at 3 a game, Addison may be the best pure shooter in the state. She hit just under 45% from 3 as a Junior and has great range on her jumper.
Sydnie Hall, South Laurel – The first of two Lady Cardinals on this list, Sydnie is the beneficiary of open looks courtesy of playing with such a talented rising Senior class. South Laurel has a lot of weapons and you can’t guard them all. Look for Hall to keep knocking down open shots.
Emilee Hope, Henderson County – One of the top players in Western Kentucky, Hope is a knockdown shooter at 42.5% and making nearly 3 per game. Emilee is really good off the catch or off the dribble and is going to find herself among the list of top 3 point shooters as a Senior.
Keely Bowling, Boyle County – Boyle County is known for their football but is also home to one of Kentucky’s best shooters. Bowling is almost strictly a shooter as she made 72 field goals last season and only 4 were two pointers.
Hope Sivori, Mercy – One of the best point guards in her class, Hope can also play off the ball as a shooter or on the ball as a distributor. Sivori is a big reason Mercy is a favorite to get back to Rupp in 2020. She shot just shy of 40% for her Junior season and has not stopped working to improve.
Jasmine Simpson, Franklin County – Her teammates get her a lot of open looks but it’s up to Jasmine to knock the shots down. Simpson does just that. She, like Keely Bowling, makes a lot more 3s than 2s. Jasmine made 81 threes and only 34 two point shots as a Junior.
Amerah Steele, South Laurel – The second South Laurel player on our list, Steele recently found herself back in the recruiting market after a coaching change at EKU after the season. Amerah is one of the best rising Senior scorers in the state and you cannot afford to leave her open from 3.
