Players to watch As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Girls Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions. Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class Chidera Okoro, 5’8, F, 2020, Dodge City Okoro an undersized forward who was asked to carry a heavy load at times. She is active on the floor and is good on both ends as well. She can score around the basket and can operate at the high post and wing if she needs to. She looks to rebound on both ends and competes for everything and sacrifices herself for the ball. Jalen Boden, 5’11, F, 2020, Thunder Ridge Boden is a smart post player who is good at playing defense and rebounding. She has good size and a long wingspan and can come away with passes by keeping your hands up and jumping Lanes. She is also good at scoring near the basket and can finish plays if she needs to. Ishlante Suttington, 5’9, F, 2020, Schlagle And athletic player who has bounce and a lot of hustle. she's asked to play inside some but has great handles and could even operate the wing or guard positions. She's a good shooter and she hustles on the floor. She gets out in transition and can shoot well from distance. Mandy Truitt, 6’0, F, 2020, Olathe South a solid post player who sees time as a power forward and a center. she can score for herself and has great height and a strong frame in the paint. She's a good rebounder and good at playing defense and blocking shots. She works hard and transition and is good at cleaning up plays around the basket Maddie Wiltsie, 6’2, F, 2020, Otis-Bison Wiltse has great height and long arms. She is good at blocking shots and controlling the game from the paint. She Is a smart player and has a solid high post and low-post game. She rebounds on both ends of the floor and can make plays left and right.
