The recently released 2027 rankings update was the first since prior to the 2026 season's start. Just in that span of months the development of players' abilities had plenty of room to grow. A substantial amount of movement occurred, including impactful changes at the top of the chart. The only two players remaining in their top spots were #1 [player_tooltip player_id='672683' first='Eve' last='Long'] and Kansas State University commit and #2 [player_tooltip player_id='671505' first='Maddie' last='Vickery']. This post will share some quick information on the new next ten.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='845983' first='Ahsieyrhuajh' last='Rayton'], 5'8", CG, Topeka - The two-time Centennial League first team selection and 2026 player of the year rose a spot. She also was named to the first team in KBCA's, KSHSAACovered's and Sports In Kansas' 6A all-state teams.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id='791747' first='Bella' last='Bouddhara'], 5'6", SG, Andover - Moving up a spot is the two-time Arkansas Valley Chisholm Trail League Division II player of the year. She is also a repeat on KBCA's, KSHSAACovered's and Sports In Kansas' 5A first teams.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id='779216' first='KK' last='Emmot'], 5'7", SG, Shawnee Heights - The two-time United Kansas Conference first team selection advanced one spot. She was picked to the 5A first team by KBCA and second team by KSHSAACovered and Sports In Kansas. She repeated in the latter.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id='779205' first='Laila' last='Boylan'], 5'10", PG, St. Thomas Aquinas - Boylan earned selection to the Eastern Kansas League first team. A two-time KSHSAACovered 5A honorable mention she also picked up second team honors from Sports In Kansas. After being picked to the KBCA 2025 5A team as an honorable mention she was inexplicably left out of their all-state teams following this past season.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id='723402' first='Taylor' last='McCarty'], 5'8", SF, Cheylin - McCarty has been one of the top small school, not just 1A, players in the state since she entered high school. A three-time Western Kansas Liberty League first team honoree she was named to KSHSAACovered's and Sports In Kansas' 1A Division II first teams. Somehow she dropped to KBCA's 2nd team after being named to the first team following the 2025 season. She climbed three spots.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='836263' first='Cami' last='Nauholz'], 6'2", SF/PF, Lawrence - Nauholz is a intriguing, rising prospect who broke into the top 10 by climbing 6 spots. She was named to the Sunflower League's first team and picked up strong all-6A honors from Sports In Kansas (first team) as well as KBCA and KSHSAACovered (second team).

#9 [player_tooltip player_id='729411' first='Ruth' last='Gipson'], 6'0", PF, Shawnee Mission Northwest - While remaining as the second top power forward prospect in the class Gipson slid 6 spots. Named to the Sunflower League's 2nd team she also picked up honorable mention selections from KSHSAACovered and Sports In Kansas.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='884867' first='Pearmella' last='Carter'], 5'10", PF, Shawnee Heights - The two-time Meadowlark League first team selection transferred in from Highland Park prior to the 2026 season. She was picked for first team United Kansas Conference following this past season. Carter also picked up honorable mention 5A from KBCA, KSHSAACovered and Sports In Kansas. She slid 3 spots.

#11 [player_tooltip player_id='849030' first='Kylenna' last='Potts'], 5'8", SG, Shawnee Mission South - Potts was a honorable mention pick by the Sunflower League after being named to the first team following 2025. She also picked up 6A honorable mention honors from KSHSAACovered (2x) and Sports In Kansas. Oddly, she was left off by KBCA after receiving the same honor from KBCA following the 2025 season. Potts slid 2 spots while remaining the number three shooting guard prospect.

#12 [player_tooltip player_id='779223' first='Destiny' last='Maze'], 5'8", CG, Wichita Heights - Maze broke into the top 20 by rising 9 spots. A maturing game and floor presence powered her to a Greater Wichita Area League first team selection. Maze also made Sports In Kansas's all-6A first team and KBCA's and KSHSAACovered's second teams.
