We debuted our 2021 ranking overhaul yesterday and we are jumping straight into our positional rankings. Now, following a crazy spring, we are attempting to sort out our newest version of the 2021 Prospect Rankings. We have updated our position rankings for the class of 2021. Now up, the shooting guards.

Much like the point guards, this is a loaded group. Sitting at the top of the shooting guard position is Anaya Barney Anaya Barney 5'11" | SF Cedar Falls | 2021 State IA . She’s an athletic and long guard who is full of potential. Honestly, she isn’t close to where I think she can be and she is still a bit raw, but out of all the shooting guards I think she has the highest ceiling. She plays hard and is starting to showcase her skill a lot more. I expect her to be a completely different player at this time next year as she fills out and improves her skill. Right behind her is Drake commit Maggie Phipps Maggie Phipps 5'10" | SG North Polk | 2021 State IA . She’s a good shooter who has a very strong frame and willingness to score the ball. Moriah Prewitt Moriah Prewitt 5'7" | SG Des Moines Christian | 2021 State IA , Ella Collison Ella Collison 5'8" | SF Carroll | 2021 State IA , and Kendall Clatt Kendall Clatt 5'10" | SG Indianola | 2021 State IA are all right there behind those two and are very solid albeit very different players. Having Clatt at five just shows how strong this group is. Outside of the top ten, I think Katie Currans Katie Currans 5'7" | SG Gilbert | 2021 State IA is the player who could move up the quickest. She has really improved this summer and has started to become much more aggressive with the ball. Her high school team is very talented and I think that this year she is going to shine a little bit more. Aggressiveness is the key to her game and when she’s being aggressive while not overdoing it, she’s a very good player.
