We spoke about [player_tooltip player_id='1583049' first='Blair' last='Winter'] to end the high school season for MFL MarMac because she put up some really nice numbers all Winter long as a starting Freshman. Winter was mainly set inside the lane as her team's main PF but she also demonstrated that she has the ability to move out on the perimeter if need be. Winter showed up each contested she laced up in over the past few months, producing as a scoring threat near the bucket and as a defensive stopper near the blocks. With her guard like ability, she was able to switch onto different positions whenever the situation called for it and that helped her show out even more as a really solid prospect overall. It's early in Winter's basketball journey but she has some promise. She will be hooping with Lady Martin Bro's program on the road this Spring so I can't wait to see how she handles that level on competition.

If you sit down to spectate [player_tooltip player_id='957838' first='Presley' last='Prill'] as a competitor, you can tell right away that she wants to let the ball go from deep off the catch of the bounce. Which is somewhat surprising because up to this point in her career she has been more of a complete scoring threat on all offensive levels. This isn't a bad thing. Prill shots a lot of shots from deep and a lot of those shots go in so can't really say much about that. I am expecting Prill to get back to her overall game on the road this Spring with [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] when she doesn't have to do so much of the carrying on the offensive side of things. If she plays her game to her fullest abilities, she is going to be someone we talk about more and more as the season presses on. She is coming off of a successful Freshman season and she is only going to get better from here.

We saw a lot of good things out of [player_tooltip player_id='1224381' first='Elyse' last='Bartels'] this Winter when she stepped up to play the Center position out of the Post for SE Polk. Bartels didn't know this was going to be her role on the team so early in her career but an injury happened to their starting Center/PF and so someone with size needed to fill that role. I would say that Bartels put together a solid run over the last few months. She did what she was asked and she always left all of her effort out on the floor while competing. If she can work on her hand-eye coordination and footwork moving into next season, who knows what she might be able to accomplish. She has the size that most dream of and she moves pretty well for that size so now it's just about getting the skill-side of things to catch up with everything else. This is something that is definitely do-able while looking towards the future. She just needs to stay hungry and motivated.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198780' first='Ella' last='Jameson'] has been terrorizing the middle school levels with her height and strength for years now so it was nice to see that she stepped up last season for CR Kennedy in the middle of the floor. Jameson showed out by consistently rebounding the ball on both ends, she made tough finishes near the hoop on both blocks, she controlled the middle go the lane really well with her communication, and she was someone that everyone had to worry about as they beat their initial defender on the perimeter because she was there waiting for a block, tip, or deflection. This Spring is going to be crucial for Jameson. If she can get some consistent work on both blocks each day, it's going to play out really well for her in the end.

There were brief moments this season when we had a chance to see [player_tooltip player_id='885079' first='Raleigh' last='Barton'] of Xavier on the floor with her respective team but I have a feeling that she is going to be a solid producer moving forward. She would be categorized as a coordinated Guard, who can play off the ball and still produce at a steady rate with her decision making and movement. During AAU she will be on the road with Missouri Phenom's 15U team and they are going to have some killers. Some players that recieved meaningful Varsity minutes as Freshman so as long as all of those individuals can jive together, they should see a lot of success in the near future.
