<span style="font-weight: 400;">As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Girls Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class</span>
<strong>Demi Aamold, 5’6, G, 2020, Wellsville</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Aamold is on the rise as she brings great offensive ability to the floor. She can getaround opponents and is comfortable playing with and without the ball in her hands. Aamold is a three point shooter from distance who is good at adapting her game when defenses change things up. A smart team leader who does what is best for her team. </span>
<strong>Jenna Mauler, 5’5, G, 2020, Great Bend</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">And intelligent guard who can run the show from the top and lead a team by example. She is quick on her feet and can get around opponents by using her speed and creativity. Mauler can score well when she needs to and is a good passer and overall facilitator. She runs the floor hard and play strong defense and looks to force turnovers.</span>
<strong>Heather Mills, 5’7, G, 2020, Derby</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The talented guard who sees time at the point and scoring position. She has a good shot from distance and is confident when the ball swings her way in the corner or at the wing spot. She looks to pass and can handle the ball for herself. A very good team player who understand your position and the ins-and-outs of her teams game plan.</span>
<strong>Sophie Reed, 5’10, SG, 2020, Olathe South</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A smooth athlete with good instincts and a nose for the ball. Read has a solid feel for the floor and is good at using her movement to find openings and score quickly. She has good height for her position and can defend several opponents across the floor. She can shoot from distance and has a clean jump shot a few feet from the basket.</span>
<strong>Chloe Carter, 5’10, G, 2020, Topeka Seaman</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A good team first player who brings size, skill and all around hustle to the floor. She is a good passer and has good vision. Carter can handle the ball for self and is a strong defensive player. She can find a way to get to the basket and score. She does so in a variety of ways and can connect from distance in the free throw line.</span>
