Superlatives: Shooters At the USJN 17u Championships

<p style="text-align: center"><span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #000080;font-size: 18pt"><strong>Superlatives: Shooters At the USJN 17u Championships</strong></span></span></p> These players were pretty automatic from beyond the arc.  Although most are more than just shooters, their threat from deep opened up so many other things for them and their teammates.  Here are some of the top deep threats we seen. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;font-size: 14pt"><strong>Top Shooters:</strong></span></span> <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>CAMRYN ADKINS - 5'9" - COMBO GUARD - WDBA ELITE 17 - 2020</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71461" align="alignnone" width="300"] Camryn Adkins[/caption] Camryn showed she had the shooting touch knocking down the corner three consistently with ease.  She also has a good touch in the mid-range and is a crafty guard and good passer with a very high IQ.  She finishes after contact and is a good free throw shooter. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>VANESSA SCHWARZMANN - 5'9" - WING - TEAM LIBERTY 17 - 2020</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71460" align="alignnone" width="300"] Vanessa Schwarzmann[/caption] Vanessa can launch it from really deep.  She is a threat as soon as she passes half court.  I wanted to see here put it up more as she shoots at a really high percentage.  She pumps well on close out defenders to start her drive to the basket. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>MADISON SCARBOROUGH - 5'10" - WING - TEAM RISE 17 - 2021</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71462" align="alignnone" width="300"] Madison Scarborough[/caption] Madison can put it up from anywhere on the floor and isn't shy about launching the three.  She works the floor to get open and heads out to 18 feet for the kick in transition. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>PAGE GREENBURG - 5'9" - COMBO GUARD - TEAM TAKEOVER 16 NIKE - 2022</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71463" align="alignnone" width="300"] Page Greenburg[/caption] Page has a really quick release and doesn't need a lot of space to get her shot off.  She can beat you off the dribble and pull up in the lane.  She was one of the most complete players in the building. <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>SOPHIA JAMES - 5'11" - WING - TEAM SOL BSTT - 2020</strong></span></span> [caption id="attachment_71464" align="alignnone" width="300"] Sophia James[/caption] With time and space Sophia is deadly from beyond the arc.  Her threat from deep opens the floor for her teammates to get to the basket.  She is an active rebounder and has a soft touch on the put back shot in the lane and in the short corner,
