Plenty of coaches were on hand as the best of the best showed their stuff in the nations capital. Her are some more of the players that impressed getting to the basket at the USJN <em>DC</em> 17u Championships.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>KENNEDY FAUNTLEROY - 5'7" - GUARD - BOO WILLIAMS 16 EYBL - 2022</strong></span></span>
[caption id="attachment_72556" align="alignnone" width="300"] Kennedy Fauntleroy[/caption]
Kennedy did much of her slashing in transition. She created steals turning her defense into offense and taking the ball all the way to the basket. She was always a threat as she got the ball in her hand on virtually every possession.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>JADYN DONOVAN - 5'11" - WING - MD BELLES 15 - 2023</strong></span></span>
[caption id="attachment_72563" align="alignnone" width="300"] Jadyn Donovan[/caption]
Jadyn was one of the most athletic players in the building. The rising freshman finished at the rim with a lot of flare. She took the overtime game winner against the Philadelphia Belles coast to coast while being chased by three defenders. College coaches are getting on her very early.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>MIA SMITH - 5'9" - WING - 1 ON NONE - 2022</strong></span></span>
[caption id="attachment_72558" align="alignnone" width="300"] Mia Smith[/caption]
Mia seems to do whatever it takes to get to the basket with some moves being unconventional and hard to defend. She averaged 23 points per game and added 8 boards as her team went 4-1. She has really stepped her game up a as they played up at the 16u level.
<span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>TAYLOR WEBSTER - 5'11" - WING - MD LADY TERPS - 2020</strong></span>
[caption id="attachment_72560" align="alignnone" width="300"] Taylor Webster[/caption]
Taylor got to the hole with physicality. Her time at the post in her younger days taught her how to use her body and absorb as well as initiate contact. When she decides to go and has a lane its best to avoid the foul and move out of her way because she won't be stopped. The fact that she has a pretty good touch from 13 feet out makes her much harder to guard.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>KENSLEY BENJAMIN - 5'9" - GUARD - TEAM SOL - 2020</strong></span></span>
[caption id="attachment_72559" align="alignnone" width="300"] Kensley Benjamin[/caption]
Kensley is fast and can get to the basket. Sometimes she pulls up short or goes a little wide and uses the floater but, when she decided to go all the way to the rack she was usually rewarded with a bucket or free throws and at time both.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #800000;text-decoration: underline"><strong>ISABELLAH MIDDLETON - 5'8" - WING - LOUDOUN FLIGHT 16 - 2020</strong></span></span>
Isabella can turn on the jets when she gets the ball in attack mode. You won't see the speed in the typical up and down game but when she is on the attack she can explode with the ball in her hand. She left a game early after twisting her ankle, not sure if she returned later.
