Let me preface this article by saying that I’m in no way ’cool’. But even if I was, these players have me beat.
Now lets explain what I mean by ’cool’. We AREN’T talking about a most popular vote or a headcount of friends. When I say cool, I mean someone that can’t be fazed on the basketball court. I’m talking about someone that comes to the gym with an aura. When they walk in, everyone can sense it and turns to look. They play and conduct themselves with an unflappable confidence.
So here it is, 8 juniors that are way cooler than me:
[player_tooltip player_id="27986" first="LaChelle" last="Austin"] (2021, G, Dearborn Henry Ford)
First of all, she’s an awesome player with Division 1 talent. Second, is the way she plays the game - always composed and under control. It oozes coolness.
[player_tooltip player_id="27985" first="Abrie" last="Cabana"] (2021, PG, Grass Lake)
She’s a tremendous talent and is committed to GVSU. It’s definitely cool to have everything figured out both on and off the court. And Cabana does.
[player_tooltip player_id="4132" first="Damiya" last="Hagemann"] (2021, PG, Detroit Edison)
Have you ever watched her play? The wizardry with which she runs the point is amazing. Hagemann demands respect when she walks onto the court.
[player_tooltip player_id="138310" first="Alex" last="Long"] (2021, SG, Flushing)
Lets face it, shooters are cool. Long can bury a triple from anywhere, and when she gets hot from outside......WATCH OUT.
[player_tooltip player_id="138385" first="Ava" last="Muschong"] (2021, G, Romeo)
Muschong is a solid ball handler and good passer. But what makes her so cool is her love for the game.
Emma O’Brien (2021, PG, Chandler Park)
The speedy guard is dangerous off the dribble. O’Brien plays the game with a confidence that would make many envious.
[player_tooltip player_id="138326" first="Shealyn" last="Tripp"] (2021, G/F, Michigan Center)
Everyone wants a teammate like Tripp, and that is incredibly cool. She’s willing and able to do all the little things that teams need to get a W.
[player_tooltip player_id="26677" first="Morasha" last="Wiggins"] (2021, G/F, Kalamazoo Central)
The way she attacks the bucket on offense and plays nose to nose defense; I wish that could be me. A lot of people wish they could play as aggressively as Wiggins does.
