The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan College Tour made its second stop at Wayne State University on Saturday, April 26th. Both fieldhouses on campus were packed with college coaches right from the opening tip, representing several programs across the D2, NAIA, D3, and JUCO levels. I was encouraged by the fact that the prospects had the opportunity to be observed by different levels of college programs and respected scouts, maximizing their potential to be recruited. My coverage focused on teams competing on courts three and four throughout the day. These nine 16U prospects all received recognition as top performers and raised their stock at Wayne State on Saturday.

Jayna's assertive downhill drives, physicality, rebounding, and all-around impact took over games at the PGH MI College Tour II. She drained a triple in the corner, climbed the ladder to deflect a pass on the perimeter for a steal, and crashed the glass to score an offensive rebound off two feet with her left. Jayna penetrated gaps from the perimeter, scoring layups and floaters with a soft touch inside. She threw passes on a rope to open teammates and helped Dream Loudly EYCL 16U Paiz win the Gold Championship. Jayna received recognition as All-Tournament First Team.

Saturday was my first time seeing Callie play, and she made a great first impression. Callie looked long and athletic on the court, switched hands comfortably on her way to the basket, rebounded with a tenacious effort, and finished strong at the rim. She delivered one of the plays of the day. Callie attacked downhill with long strides on her way to the basket, drove into contact, and put unreal spin on the ball as she headed to the floor, converting the and-one layup. She tacked on the free throw to complete the three-point play. Callie crashed the glass, scored a strong put-back off two feet through contact, then tacked on the free throw. She racked up steals with her aggressive defense, corralled many offensive rebounds, sealed a defender inside to score off two feet, and showed great sportsmanship by helping up an opponent. Callie made unselfish extra passes and smart kickouts to open teammates off dribble penetration. She had an impressive day for [program_tooltip program_id='1237853' first='NWO' last='Elite'] 16U at the PGH MI College Tour II.

Kylin did it all for [program_tooltip program_id='715544' first='Pr1de' last='Basketball'] 16U at the PGH MI College Tour II. She sparked the offense with her three-point shooting, knocking down three triples in a game from the wing and corners. Kylin made a great hustle play to save a possession by throwing a ball going out of bounds off an opponent's foot. She drove hard down the baseline to earn free throws and converted both with confidence.

Ashlyn's defense, rebounding, and toughness stood out during my time watching her play for Mystics 16U S40 Metz at the PGH MI College Tour II. She won rebounding battles on both ends and scored a strong putback through contact. Ashlyn moved her feet well and used her long arms to limit high-percentage looks at the basket, forcing many misses on the defensive end. She created steals and quickly passed the ball up the floor to assist on transition points. Ashlyn helped her team reach the Gold Championship Game and received All-Tournament First Team recognition.

Brooklyn had herself a day at the PGH MI College Tour II with [program_tooltip program_id='962114' first='Lady' last='FVV']. She caught a pass inside, used an effective spin move with a pivot, then finished off two feet. Brooklyn showed some fancy footwork in transition with a eurostep, buried a smooth three-pointer in the slot after securing an offensive board, and stepped outside again to hit another three straight on. Brooklyn has very good hands in the paint. She switched to her left to get the scoring angle, then finished off two feet. Brooklyn's height, athletic build, skilled footwork, ability to score inside with both hands, and three-point range give her a very high ceiling as a forward prospect.

After a dominant freshman season at Plymouth Christian Academy, I was very excited to see Lauren on the court Saturday with Hype Elite 16U at the PGH MI College Tour. She got stronger as the day went on. Lauren was effective in the screen and roll, catching and finishing multiple layups off two feet. She made good backdoor cuts to score and stretched the defense by sinking threes from the corner. Lauren crashed the offensive boards hard to secure rebounds, kicked the ball out to open shooters, buried a mid-range pull-up, and attacked with a burst downhill off crossovers. She earned many trips to the free throw line, switched hands well at the rim, and kept her balance by going into defenders off two feet. Lauren plays hard, is long and athletic, and has a very high ceiling.

Stella was one of the toughest prospects in the gym at the PGH MI College Tour II. Bloody nose and all, no pain or discomfort was going to keep her off the court. She paused on the perimeter, then drove by with a burst to score a strong and-one at the rim. Stella changed directions with a behind-the-back snap to get by and earn a trip to the line. She sprinted in and battled for rebounding position, resulting in many extra scoring chances for the team. Stella dove for loose balls and made good kickouts to open shooters. She pushed the ball with both hands up the floor to score a floater, cut backdoor for a tough and-one finish with her left, and drilled a triple in the slot. Stella made key blocks in the paint down the stretch to help [program_tooltip program_id='715695' first='Michigan' last='Vice'] 16U win the Silver Championship Game. She received All-Tournament First Team honors.

Avary is a versatile forward who stood out during her games with [program_tooltip program_id='1345873' first='Dream' last='Loudly Basketball'] 16U EYCL Krasinski at the PGH MI College Tour II. She faced the basket and attacked downhill off the dribble, then made a smart pass to a teammate at the rim for an assist. Avary finished efficiently off two feet, was a strong rebounder, and created extra possessions by crashing the offensive glass. Avary showed her outside range, popping out to sink a smooth three-pointer in the slot. Her ability to play inside and on the perimeter is going to be an asset this spring.

My first time seeing Lauer play was a year ago at The Smoke, where she showed great potential, athleticism, length, instincts as a facilitator, and versatility as a guard-wing prospect. It's been close to a year, and I can tell you right now she will be making the biggest jump of any 2028 in our next rankings update. Robust and strong build, long, athletic, endless energy, jumps out of the gym, handles the ball in the open court, scores through contact, persistent rebounder, she's definitely in that top-tier category as a prospect. She got to the free throw line, knocked them down, controlled the offensive glass, finished powerfully off two feet using either hand, pushed the ball up the floor comfortably with pace, and deflected passes on the perimeter. With one second left in the Gold Championship Game, Lauer looked like she was jumping on a trampoline as she defended the baseline inbounds pass. She timed it up perfectly, batted the ball straight down, and secured the victory for Dream Loudly 16U EYCL Paiz. Lauer is an All-Tournament First Team selection, and she blew us away at the PGH MI College Tour II.
