Each team has players that can score inside and give their guards that needed support on the offensive end. Most of these girls can also step out and hit the shot or drive by you. Here are some of those post players to watch.
- Macee Eisenbarth is 5’8 2020 forward from Nokomis. Macee is the leader and best player returning for Coach Engleman. She is a product of her hard work. Mace excels in the side pick and roll that Nokomis used last year. She seems to know how to find the open spot and finish on the move. Mace does a very good job of offensive rebounding which leads to more easy baskets. Macee does a good job of getting fouled and can really help herself and the team by improving her free throw percentage.
- Madison Webb is a 5’9 2020 forward from Father McGivney. Madison was hurt for the first two months of the season last year. She played really well to end the season. Madison had a very good sophomore campaign. Madison is strong and smart in the post and can finish against taller players. She has expanded her shooting range and her ability to take you off the dribble. This will allow Madison to even more affective in the post in senior year. Madison is a player that can help a small college as an undersized 4.
- Jennifer Leitner is a 5’10 2020 forward from Metro East Lutheran. Jennifer has shown a big upside these past two years. Coach Stock has really seen her make strides over the summer and is excited to see what she will bring to the team this year. Jennifer has a nice shooting touch and does a very good job establishing position. As she continues to develop her post moves Jennifer should become a very good weapon.
- Megan Meyer is a 6’0 2022 post from Alton Marquette. Megan is a long left handed post that has really improved in the off season. She is still learning and improving but could give Coach Green a true post player as she improves. Megan has some bounce so she can block some shots and get some rebounds. She is still improving her offensive game as she works on footwork, strength and balance. Megan has a good shooting touch around the rim when she gets her opportunities.
- Hannah Allen is a 5’10 2021 post player from Wood River (EAWR). Hannah is a good shooter that can both inside and out. Coach Parmentier really believes that Hannah will surprise some people this year. Hannah will take over the starting post spot. She will work with their other strong front court players to form a strong trio.
Madison Webb and Macee Eisenbarth are all conference level returning players that will lead the conference again. The rest of the teams are replacing or still looking for the post player of their future. Father McGivney can team Webb with sophomore Charlize Luehman and Wood River will team Allen with senior Taylor Parmentier to form nice inside duos.
