I spent the day going from court to court getting a chance to see every player at least one time. My PGH Top 250 All Underclassman Team Part Two is below. My Team was selected based on what I saw in the games I watched.
Karsyn Norman Karsyn Norman 5'7" | PG Bedford North Lawrence | 2023 State IN – 2023 – 5’5 PG – Bedford North Lawrence
Norman was all over the place Sunday. She knocked down several shots from the outside and got to the rim with ease. Her ability to score from all three levels off the dribble and the catch makes her a matchup nightmare defensively. Norman’s ability to push the tempo in transition stood out, as she was able to create shots for herself and her teammates. She played years above her age and showed why she is one of 2023’s best.
Koryn Greiwe Koryn Greiwe 5'7" | PG Columbus East | 2022 State IN – 2022 – 5’7 G – Columbus East
Greiwe’s passion for the game showed on Sunday. She was a workhorse defensively, making life difficult for her opponent and forcing several turnovers. Greiwe’s IQ is very advanced for her age and it showed, as she constantly made the right decisions and created opportunities for her teammates. Her ability to finish on the drive stood out as well.
Haley Thomas Haley Thomas 6'1" | C West Lafayette Harrison | 2022 State IN – 2022 – 6’0 C – West Lafayette Harrison
Thomas’s size and ability to run the floor stood out right away. In a camp dominated mostly by guards and wings, Thomas found ways to impact the game by rebounding and defending the paint. She has a good touch around the rim and can step out and hit the mid-range shot. If Thomas can keep developing her outside shot, she will be a tough matchup for her opponents.
Sydney Little Sydney Little 5'8" | SF Penn | 2022 State IN – 2022 – 5’8 SF – Penn
Little was willing to do whatever her team needed her to do. She worked hard defensively and forced several turnovers. Her motor stood out as she ran in transition and rebounded well. Along with doing the dirty work for her team. Little was able to score from all three levels and finish well around the rim.
Tressa Senesac Tressa Senesac 5'6" | PG Benton Central | 2022 State IN – 2022 – 5’6 PG – Benton Central
Senesac’s ability to take control offensively was impressive. She pushed the tempo and created tons of opportunities for her teammates. In transition, Senesac excelled going coast to coast several times finishing or dishing to a teammate. Senesac did a great job of taking command of her role as the team’s point guard throughout the day.
Zoe Stewart Zoe Stewart 5'8" | CG Terre Haute North Vigo | 2022 State IN – 2022 – 5’7 G – Terre Haute North
Stewart did a little bit of everything. She scored when needed, distributed, and defended well. Her ability to run in transition stuck out immediately, as she went coast to coast for and finished several times. Stewart used her ability to get the rim to create Opportunites for teammates. She has a high ceiling and the potential to become a solid passing point guard with the ability to score.
