Emilee Hope -2020 – 5’5 PG – Henderson County (KY)
Hope was one to watch every time she took the floor. She was one of the camp’s best outside shooters and all-around scorers. Her ability to draw in the defense and find teammates made the offense run smoothly. Few players had the motor and toughness that Hope had. It showed in her last game of the day, as she was getting it done on both ends of the floor despite playing four hours of games. If there was a camp MVP, Hope would have been in the running.
Vanessa Shafford Vanessa Shafford 5'9" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2021 State IN – 2021 – 5’9 SG – Linton Stockton
Shafford dominated every aspect of the game. She showed an array of offensive moves scoring at all three levels and making several great passes to teammates. Defensively Shafford was a force, blocking shots and forcing turnovers. Her ability to score off the dribble made her extremely tough to guard. Few players were able to do what Shafford could do and she showed us why she is a potential division one player.
Mckenzie Hudgen – 2021 – 5’8 SG – Mishawaka Marian
Hudgens was all over the place offensively. She showed her creative skillset making several great drives and finishes. Her ability to knock down the outside shot makes her a pick your poison kind of player. Hudgen’s high IQ was easy to see as she moved well without the ball and made several nice rim runs. She did a great job defensively as well.
Pa’Shence Walker Pa’Shence Walker 5'8" | SG Martinsville | 2021 State IN – 2021 – 5’9 SF – Martinsville
Walker was a do it all kind of player. Scoring when her team needed her to and playing good defense throughout the day. She has a great basketball IQ, she showed it as she moved well without the ball and made several great passes. Walker’s ability to run the offense stood out to me. She made the most of her time on the floor on the floor with great efficiency.
Genevieve Decker – 2021 – 5’10 SF – Anchor Bay (MI)
Decker got it done on both sides of the floor. She hit shots from the outside and had several finishes at the rim. Decker was an anchor for her team defensively, blocking shots and coming up with several steals. Her ability to get out and run with her athleticism makes her a force in transition.
Tenleigh Phelps Tenleigh Phelps 5'10" | PF Triton Central | 2021 State IN – 2021 – 5’10 PF – Triton Central
Phelps skillset has a lot to offer. She did well on the drive and in the post. Her ability to step out and knock down a jump shot adds another dimension to her game. In transition, Phelps went coast to coast several times finding teammates for scores, as well as scoring herself. Her high IQ gives her an edge over opponents.
Chloe McKnight Chloe McKnight 5'8" | SG Bedford North Lawrence | 2021 State IN – 2021 – 5’9 SG – Bedford North Lawrence
McKnight caught my eye fast. She played with intensity defensively and never stopped hustling. Her versatility makes her fit well into any lineup or situation. Offensively McKnight was able to score from all three levels whenever her team needed her. She has a very high IQ and passing ability, which gives her the ability to be a great distributor. Few players were as willing to play their role as well as McKnight.
