“Magnificent 7” – Metro Charlotte’s Early Season Standouts

We are only in the embryo stages of the prep hoops girls basketball season, but these young ladies have already made huge splashes and clear statements that they are forces to be reckoned with:
<strong>Breya Busby</strong> - Charlotte Christian - The Charlotte Christian junior point guard averaged 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the Knights went 1-1 for the week.
<strong>Unique Burch</strong> - Rock Hill (SC) - The Rock Hill senior point guard averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists per game while leading her team to victories over Mid Carolina and River Bluff as the lady Bearcats wonThe Battle of the Bluff Tournament Title last week.
<strong>Evelina Davlakou</strong> - Victory Christian - The 5 '6" sophomore guard had a game high 25 points in the Kings' 21 point victory over Cannon.
<strong>Aubrey Griggs</strong> - East Burke - Making her high school debut, the fabulous freshman forward had 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists in the Cavaliers 60-22 victory over West Lincoln.
<strong>Nyla McGill</strong> - Providence - The Providence junior guard averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals as Providence had a perfect week in beating East Mecklenburg and Hough.
<strong>Braylyn Milton</strong> - Independence - She capped off an incredible all around performance (21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals) by making a 45 footer at the buzzer that propelled Independence to a 42-41 season opening victory over North Mecklenburg.
<strong>Megan Seymour</strong> - Bradford Prep - The 5'10 sophomore forward averaged a double - double (21.5 points and 10.5 rebounds) while leading the Bears in their victories against Cabarrus Charter and Piedmont Charter.
