Michigan high school basketball has a lot of top notch talent on the perimeter. This allows us to see many great combinations of players team up in the backcourt. Let’s take a look at a couple must see backcourts.
<h4>Michigan Center</h4>

Haynes will be playing next season at Aquinas. Mark my words, she could be a STAR there. She’s a bona fide playmaker with the pass, but also has versatility in her game. Last season she was greatly improved in her ability to be a score first lead guard. Haynes takes pride in her pesky defense and likes to create havoc for the offense.
<strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/alize-tripp/">[player_tooltip player_id="23792" first="Alize" last="Tripp"]</a> (2020, CG)</strong>
Tripp recently committed to Concordia College. She’s a prototypical team first type player that puts wins over statistics. Tripp has 3 point range on her jumper. Just like her backcourt mate, she is a big factor on the defensive end. Her on ball and team defense will help win games this season for Michigan Center.
<h4>Wayne Memorial</h4>
<strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/lachelle-austin/">[player_tooltip player_id="27986" first="LaChelle" last="Austin"]</a> (2021, SG)</strong>
Austin had a huge spring and summer with Hype Lady Hoopers, and solidified herself as a Division 1 prospect. The D1 offers prove as much. She’s a smooth scorer that can carry a team offensively. She has a nice mid range jumper that she can hit off the dribble and in traffic. Austin is dangerous with the ball when coming off a screen.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147722" first="Jordan" last="Wright"] (2022, G)</strong>
Wayne Memorial Head Coach Jarvis Mitchell seems to have a pedigree when it comes to developing perimeter talent. Next up: [player_tooltip player_id="147722" first="Jordan" last="Wright"]. She attacks off the dribble and goes like a landslide from the moment she touches the ball. Wright has a solid mid range game where she can pull up for a jumper or dish to an open teammate.
