Mystics 2028-P24 Preview

Mystics 2028-P24 will be competing in the highest division of the Select Events Circuit, while also appearing in three PGH Circuit tournaments throughout the AAU season. Seven of their 10 prospects are ranked inside the top 25, with all 10 players currently ranked in the top 70. They play fast, move the ball, score in transition, light it up from beyond the arc, and cause turnovers on the defensive end. This is a team that should be bringing home plenty of hardware this spring and summer.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2026/04/Mystics-2028-P24.jpeg?w=685" alt="" class="wp-image-1823458" /></figure>    First Team All-Conference SVL North   PGH Player of the Year Finalist   Averaged 14.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 60% from two and 30% from three. Ellee's length, footwork, mobility, rebounding effort, fundamental skills, rim protection, scoring versatility inside/mid-range/perimeter, make her the top forward prospect in this class.     First Team All-Conference SEC-Red   Layla had a breakout year for the Dreds, averaging 15.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 40% from downtown. She plays fast, makes quick decisions, facilitates effectively, works hard defensively, makes the hustle plays, and has great ball-handling control.     All-Catholic   PGH Player of the Year Finalist   Emersen guided Regina to its most successful season in decades, averaging 21 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. She's a sniper from three-point range, has an impressive variety of crossover combo dribbles at her disposal, sees the floor, has an explosive downhill burst, and is scrappy on the defensive end.     CMAC First Team All-Conference   Brooklyn will be a great addition to the Mystics 2028 P24 squad after playing up with 2027 last year. Her versatility as an inside-outside scorer/defender adds depth to the roster. Brooklyn has excellent footwork in traffic and finishes well through contact. She's a dangerous three-point threat.     Second Team All-Conference SVL North   Jayla was a key contributor to Saginaw Heritage's SVL North title. She averaged 11.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and two assists per game, while shooting an efficient 73.6% from the free throw line and 56.3% from the field. Jayla is a dynamic scorer who shifts gears to get by defenders and makes difficult shots look easy in traffic. She's a perimeter threat and has good vision as a facilitator.     First Team All-Conference SVL North   Kaiya averaged 6.1 points, 6.9 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game for the Chemics. Her relentless effort, constant communication, unselfish presence, and uptempo style consistently stand out. Kaiya works tirelessly on the perimeter to apply ball pressure, creates space off the dribble, reverses the court with her strong passes, makes the hustle plays, and is capable of scoring at all three levels. She's an energetic court general with all the fundamental tools and competitive qualities.     Second Team All-Conference SVL North   Ella averaged 14 points, five rebounds, 2.3 steals, and two assists for the Chemics, while shooting an efficient 49% from inside the arc. Ella has length, athleticism, quickness, and a commitment to play both ways that give her a high ceiling as a guard prospect. She gets downhill, finishes through contact, and can scorch the nets from beyond the arc when she gets hot. Ella's length and aggressive defense disrupt opposing ball-handlers. She racks up deflections, steals, and blocks.     Emma missed her sophomore season due to injury, so she'll be looking to have a breakout AAU campaign with Mystics P24. She's a complete player who creates for teammates off the dribble, attacks downhill with determination, finishes through contact, causes havoc on defense with her relentless pressure, shoots confidently from the perimeter, and sets the standard for competitive energy.     Macomb All-Conference Red First Team   PGH Player of the Year Finalist   Madison was a key member of an Utica Eisenhower team that made it all the way to the State Semifinals. She averaged 10 points per game while excelling as the team's court general. Madison creates separation off the bounce with her shifty handles and crossover combinations. She's crafty in the lane, finishes strong through contact, drains mid-range/perimeter jumpers, rebounds, and has excellent passing precision on the move.     Nyah missed her 2025 travel season due to injury, but returned to the court for an impactful sophomore year at East Lansing. She's a strong and physical forward with a persistent presence on the boards. Nyah works hard to defend the post and finishes well around the basket. Her length and skill inside will add important depth in the front court.
