Yesterday we looked at 2 must see backcourts (Wayne Memorial and Michigan Center). With so much talent on the perimeter, why stop at just 2? I’ll give you a look at 2 more loaded backcourts in Michigan that everyone needs to pay attention to.

Arbor Prep

[player_tooltip player_id="27983" first="Kaiden" last="Glenn"] (2021, G)
Glenn transferred from Ann Arbor Huron and will be a huge addition for Arbor Prep. She’s a strong player that not only plays through contact, but can initiate it and play off of it. Glenn has a nice looking jumper and is a solid secondary ball handler in the backcourt. She makes excellent decisions with the basketball off a jump stop.
[player_tooltip player_id="147714" first="Mya" last="Petticord"] (2022, G)
I’ll start by saying this: Petticord is an elite basketball player on a national scale. Honestly, there shouldn’t be a next level school in the country that wouldn’t want her there. Petticord has always had a very mature game and it keeps growing in that aspect. She has an incredible basketball IQ. Her game is diverse, flashing the ability to dribble drive, hit from behind the arc, handle the ball, and play solid defense.

Midland

[player_tooltip player_id="126277" first="Jordan" last="Phillips"] (2020, G)
Phillips has been perpetually underrated. I admit, I’ve been guilty. She really looks like she’s on the verge of a huge senior season and should put the doubters in their place. Phillips is an electric scoring guard. She has another gear offensively and when she hits it, she’s a game changer.
[player_tooltip player_id="4176" first="Anna" last="Tuck"] (2021, G)
Tuck is full of potential and could have a big time future in basketball ahead of her. As a 6’0" floor general, she can play above most opponents. It also makes her a matchup nightmare for almost every defense. Tuck is coming off an injury and isn’t quite 100% yet. Even at less than full strength, her and Phillips are a show to see.
