Ray Kimball and Evan originally came together to create the first Headliners Invitational Showcase in November of 2023, and after stepping away in 2024, their belief in its purpose only grew stronger, leading to its return with the goal of becoming a lasting part of the community. I'm incredibly thankful to be included in something that carries so much intention and impact. The idea for Headliners developed from watching elite camps and prospect camps across the state—while there were valuable elements like live gameplay, scrimmaging, and structured exposure opportunities, there always seemed to be a gap in fully connecting players with meaningful recruiting visibility. Headliners was built to bridge that gap, centered around the mission of helping girls basketball prospects be seen and recruited by college coaches in a more complete and purposeful way.

Cassy, representing Team Liberty at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, stood out as the top performer in the middle school session and earned my MVP selection with an impressive all-around showing. The dynamic guard consistently made her presence felt, showcasing a tremendous upside with her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. She was sharp and effective throughout the skill stations, but truly separated herself once live play began, taking over during 5-on-5 action. Cassy displayed excellent touch and creativity around the basket, finishing plays in a variety of ways, while also demonstrating strong court vision by creating quality opportunities for her teammates. What made her performance even more special was her ability to score at all three levels, proving she can be a complete offensive threat and a player with a very bright future.

Gwen, playing with Team Liberty at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, used her length and versatility to make a strong impact, even while operating more in the interior than she typically might. The long guard adjusted well to the role, being active on the glass and consistently securing rebounds on both ends of the floor. She showed a knack for tracking down misses, especially on the offensive end, where she created extra opportunities and converted several second-chance buckets. Defensively, Gwen held her ground effectively, using her size to stay vertical and contest without fouling, which helped her come up with key stops. Her ability to adapt and contribute in different areas stood out throughout the session.

One of her standout moments came when she jumped a pass, secured the steal, and pushed the ball the length of the floor for a strong finish in transition. Her ability to knock down shots and create opportunities defensively made for an impressive overall performance.
