Eastern Kansas League (EKL)
Bishop Miege, Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, Mill Valley, St. James, St. Thomas Aquinas.
Brenna Morrison, G, 2021, Blue Valley West
Another three-point shooter for West who can find her shot quickly from the corner and wing spot. She plays off the ball and looks to make extra passes and let the offense find her. She rebounds well for her size and can strip away passes and collapse on the ball when the opposing team’s game plan goes south.
Haley Numrich, 5’3, G, 2022, Blue Valley Northwest
A smart young guard who looks to play defense when nothing else is working for her. She makes timely plays and is a strong passer and a solid athlete. She is tough for her size. She does a little bit of everything well and can even get rebounds and connect on corner 3-pointers.
Madison Skelton, 5’8, G, 2021, Aquinas
A good sized guard with good athleticism and an understanding for her team’s unselfish play. She plays off the ball well and has the speed and agility to stay with opponents and defend several positions. She can rebound and get buckets due to her movement, versatility and transition toughness.
Sofia Tewell, G, 2022, Blue Valley West
An up-and-coming guard for West who brings a 3-point shot and some skills to the floor. She can handle the ball some and is good at deferring the ball and letting the older players create. Tewell stays around the perimeter and looks to be ready to score when the ball swings to her. A speedy player.
Olivia Vitale, 5’2, 2021, Blue Valley
A smaller guard who can create with her dribble and connect from 3-point range. Vitale is comfortable running the point guard position and has the ability to force turnovers and get opportunities around the basket. She is good at getting to the free throw line and sells contact well. Vitale values ball security but isn’t afraid to take a chance if she feels it’ll benefit the team.
