Aalyah Del Rosario Aalyah Del Rosario 6'5" | C Webb- Bell Buckle | 2023 State #5 Nation TN | Trenton Catholic
Trenton Catholic has the top two players ranked in New Jersey’s Class of 2023. It begins with Del Rosario. She has already emerged as a star. The 6’5 center has all the makeups of a future Division I player. She is big, quick, and athletic. Del Rosario has strong hands and good footwork. All of her skills will continue to grow and improve as she gets older.
Rylie Theuerkauf Rylie Theuerkauf 5'7" | SG Tenafly | 2023 State NJ | Tenafly
There were few freshman, if any, around the state that could score the ball like Theuerkauf. She scored in double-figures in all but one game this season including 15 games over 20 points, four games over 30, and a career-high 41 points in a win over Dwight-Morrow. She knocked down 45 three’s and tallied 521 total points. This puts her on pace to score her 1,000th point late in her sophomore season. That is an incredible accomplishment.
Tyonna Bailey Tyonna Bailey 5'10" | CG Montclair Immaculate | 2023 State NJ | Morris Catholic
Bailey started off her high school career with 10 straight double-doubles. Her second career game was a 28 point, 17 rebound performance in a win over Paramus Catholic. She finished off the year as one of the top freshman because of her ability on both ends of the floor.
Aaryn Battle Aaryn Battle 5'8" | SF Camden Catholic | 2023 State NJ | Clearview
Battle improved over the course of the season. This means that she will be ready for a big season as a sophomore. Battle is 5’9 and has the perfect skill set for a small forward. She is a capable shooter from three-point range. Battle can rebound on both ends of the floor and defend all five positions. She finished with nine straight double-digit scoring games to end the season.
Zoe Brooks Zoe Brooks 5'8" | CG St. John Vianney | 2023 State NJ | Trenton Catholic
Brooks is the guard to compliment Del Rosario down low. She made a name for herself on one of the best teams in the state scoring the ball and setting her teammates up in the best position to score. Brooks is going to put up crazy numbers on a stat sheet as a sophomore.
Mikaela Hubbard Mikaela Hubbard 6'2" | PF St. John Vianney | 2023 State NJ | St. John Vianney
St. John Vianney was the No. 1 team in New Jersey led by the Player of the Year in Madison St. Rose Madison St. Rose 5'10" | PG St. John Vianney | 2022 State #65 Nation NJ . Hubbard is someone who flew under the radar but this will not be the case next year. Hubbard is 5’10 and showed some ability to score inside. She had a knack for being in the right position. She was not a huge factor this year, but do not expect that to be the case as a sophomore.
