We have not only released our first 2023 rankings, but we have done a quick update so we are now ready to give you some coverage of what this class has to offer. In Southern Illinois there have been a large number of players that have made an impact in their first year. I will be continuing my theme of covering the front court, forwards and centers, in one article and the back court, point guards and combo/shooting guards in another. Here we take a look at some of the top front court players in the class of 2023.

(24)[player_tooltip player_id="160133" first="Emily" last="Konkel"]. 6' Wing from Teutopolis. Emily is a very long wing player that is a very reliable scorer inside the arc. She is developing her shot outside the 3-point line. She has nice ball handling skills. Emily is highly skilled for a tall wing and should fill a bigger role for T-Town in her sophomore season.

(29)[player_tooltip player_id="148149" first="Alycia" last="Triplett"]. 5'11 Forward from Charleston.Alycia had a lot of success playing second fiddle to [player_tooltip player_id="123564" first="Shae" last="Littleford"] this year, She has a D1 body and is very athletic. She is excellent inside and in the open floor. When Littleford went down with an injury Alycia had to step up and be a go to player as a freshman and she handled it well.

(40)[player_tooltip player_id="148163" first="Kylie" last="Kisner"]. 6'0 Forward from Carrollton. Kylie is a 6’1 forward showing signs of playing inside/out as a dual threat player. She looks to be a stretch 4, that can run the floor. Kylie played very well as a part of a well rounded team where she did not carry the load, she will need to step up some due to graduation losses as she enters her sophomore season.

(47)[player_tooltip player_id="148169" first="Sophia" last="Loden"]. 5'11 Wing from Mascoutah. Sophia is a high motor player that excels on the defensive end and working on the glass She has long arms that she uses well to be a good on ball defender. Sophia is a tireless worker that has shown strides in improving her game off the bounce and her shooting. She has become a threat from behind the arc.

(51)[player_tooltip player_id="160134" first="Addie" last="Wright"] 6'0 Post from Oakwood. Addie runs the floor well and is a plus rebounder and defender. She can finish inside with either hand. Addie has become a consistent shooter in the mid range. Addie has a body and frame that will catch college coaches attention and get her looks.

(52)[player_tooltip player_id="160136" first="Kendra" last="Young"]. 6'0 Wing from Paris. Kendra is a very good shooter. Can hit from deep range and her long frame helps her get shots off against smaller players. She is developing her game off the bounce. Right now she will catch your eye as a tall wing that can shoot it well, to maximize her potential she will need to add to her game.

(55)[player_tooltip player_id="160139" first="Rilee" last="Riggs"]. 6'3 Post from Mt..Carmel. Rilee has great size and a nice frame. She has length that allows her to be very effective on defense. She is a good shot blocker. Rilee can finish with both hands and has a nice touch around the rim.

(56)[player_tooltip player_id="160138" first="Savannah" last="Orgeron"]. 5'11 Forward from Mahomet. Savannah has good strength that allows her to play inside the lane with taller players.. She has a good skill set allows her to step away and play outside too. Savannah passes the ball well and sees the floor to anticipate the open players.

(57)[player_tooltip player_id="148171" first="Audrey" last="Sabol"]. 6'0 Post from Nokomis. Audrey is big strong post player. She has good finishing moves in the lane and she can finish with either hand. Audrey is a very good rebounder because she is sound at boxing out and uses her strength to grab the ball.

(60)[player_tooltip player_id="160140" first="Kaylin" last="Williams"]. 5'8 Forward from Tri-County. Kaylin is a strong player that can play well inside despite being undersized. She finishes well around the rim and rebounds well. Kaylin is going to maximize her potential by developing her game from the wing.

This class is filled with skilled wings/small forwards and posts with the size needed to compete at the next level. Many of these players will have a big opportunity to step up in their sophomore campaign and put up big numbers. Their talent and an opportunity to play some at the varsity level got them on this list. Let's see where their hard work takes them over the next 3 years.
