Class 1A looks to be a very competitive class this postseason. There are several teams that will be able to make a deep run through the bracket and potentially get to state.

First off is number 1 is 1A Deer Creek Mackinaw. Deer Creek is 24-2 as of today, and received the number 1 seed in their sub sectional. They can hurt you in a lot of ways and play very well together. They are one of my favorites to make it down to Normal.

Dalia a Quincy University commit, is the key to this team. She can do it all between scoring, distributing, and playing good defense. Dejesus lets the game come to her and never seems to be forcing it.

The second team would be the Brown County hornets. They are 24-2 right now and the number 3 team in the state. They received the number 1 seed in their sub sectional and will be the favorite in the Pleasant Plains super sectional.

Kassing is an exciting junior for a good Brown County team. She can make a huge impact on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Kenzie does a great job on the boards as well making her a great all around impact player. She is one to watch as Brown County starts regional play.

The third team to watch is Rockford Christian. They are 19-11, and will be one of the favorites in the Dundee Crown super sectional. Christian played a tough schedule and are battle tested for regional play.

Conerly is a up and coming player to watch for Rockford Christian. She showcases a smooth jump shot on offense, and strong anticipation on the defensive end. Jaden will be key to the Lions success this postseason.

The final team to watch is Edwards County. They are 15-8 headed into the postseason. I feel like this team could be an underdog in the Arcola super sectional.

Nussmeyer is a UIS commit and is the key to a deep postseason run from Edwards County. She makes a huge impact on the defensive end with a great ability to create steals. That only adds to the impact she has on the offensive end where she really does it all. UIS is getting a good one.
