Madison St. Rose Madison St. Rose 5'10" | PG St. John Vianney | 2022 State #65 Nation NJ | St. John Vianney
The Player of the Year in New Jersey begins the list. St. Rose was hands down the top player in the state last season and she is only a sophomore. St. Rose is a do it all guard for the Lancers. She is hard to stop when she gets in the lane but you must watch out for her shot as well. The athleticism is underrated and she makes the game look easy. St. Rose has a chance to be one of the best players in state’s history.
Saniah Caldwell Saniah Caldwell 5'8" | PG Saddle River Day | 2022 State #52 Nation NJ | Saddle Day River
Caldwell was an absolute freak on both ends of the floor this season. She averaged 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 6.1 steals per game. She had two games this season with 10 steals. Caldwell is extremely fast on the perimeter. Her instincts are far above the norm which helps her get in the passing lane. On the offensive side, she can beat you in many ways. Caldwell knocked down 87 three’s which was near the top of the state.
Alana Robinson Alana Robinson 5'10" | SF Pope John | 2022 State NJ | Pope John
Robinson was a double-double machine this season. At 5’10, she had good size and great hustle on both ends. She averaged 16 points and 10.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Robinson finished with season with 21 double-doubles and it began right away in game one where she notched 20 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Sparta. Robinson was a capable shooter from deep and excelled in the paint. Pope John has nice leadership heading into next season.
Madison Schiller Madison Schiller 5'8" | CG Ramapo | 2022 State NJ | Ramapo
One of the true stat sheet fillers in the class. Schiller could get it done in many ways. She averaged 17.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and four steals per game. She finished with a triple-double in an early season win over Paramus when she finished with 10 points, rebounds, and steals. At 5’8, Schiller is a complete guard. She can step out and shoot but that is not her strong suit. Schiller knows how to use her strength to finish with contact. She knocked down 97 free throws this season which led Ramapo.
Kiley Capstraw Kiley Capstraw 5'10" | SG West Orange | 2022 State NJ | West Orange
Capstraw missed sometime in the middle of the season but when she was on the floor, she was one of the best in the state. Capstraw scored 21.4 points per game and knocked down 30 three’s and 111 free throws. She was an offensive dynamo. Capstraw had the ball in her hands a lot and had a tendency of making the right decision when running the offense. West Orange is in good hands for the next two years.
