Roster
Paige Boyce 5’5″ Pattonville: A 2023 guard who joins the program and brings quickness and a high basketball IQ as she is a coach’s kid. She loves to play the game and will benefit from playing a year up with older players.
Elizabeth Brewster 5’10” Francis Howell: A versatile 2022 player who can excel from several different spots on the floor. She can score with her back to the basket plus she has the ability score off the drive and hit a perimeter jumper. Very fundamentally sound player who is in the right position on defense. She averaged 10 points and four rebounds while shooting 36 percent from the field as a sophomore.
Riley Brophy 5’6″ Westminster: A solid lefty combo guard who can excel at both backcourt positions with her passing and leadership skills combined with her ability to knock down open 3-pointers. She has a high basketball IQ and makes good decisions on the court. If she gets an open look from long distance, it’s going in. She averaged 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 39 percent from 3-point range for a conference championship team.
Madison Carroll 5’10” Timberland: A hard working 2022 forward who has made a lot of improvements over the course of the year. She is a strong rebounder who really excels on the offensive boards. She also has an effective mid-range jumper off the catch. She averaged 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds.
McKayley Hopkins 5’7″ Ladue: An athletic guard who really excels on the defensive end. She enjoys the challenge of defending the opposing team’s top offensive player. Most of her offense comes in the transition game where she can get out and run.
Raychel Jones 5’10” Vashon: One of the top 2023 players in the state, she has the skill level and savvy to excel at virtually every position on the floor. She has the handles and the high basketball IQ to be a facilitator at point guard, yet she can go inside and get buckets in the post. She averaged 17 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and four steals while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range to lead the Wolverines to a district championship.
Azaria Moore 5’11” Granite City (IL): An undersized post player who uses her physical strength and good footwork to get the job done effectively. She is very good in traffic and has good passing skills. She also run the court well in the transition game. She averaged 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds a game as a sophomore.
Genesis Rhodes 5’11” DuBourg: An athletic 2023 forward who runs the floor with ease and has excellent jumping ability. Her strengths at this time are her rebounding and shot blocking ability. Her offensive game is still a work in progress, but her potential and upside is big. As a freshman, she averaged 12.5 points, 12.8 rebounds, four steals and two blocks a game.
Rhiannon Smith 5’9″ Maryville Christian: A nice-sized 2022 guard who can really fill up from long distance. She has shooting range that extends beyond the 3-point line and she will shoot it with a lot of confidence.
Lamiya Terrell 5’4″ Belleville West (IL): A very quick 2022 point guard who plays with a lot of pace and loves the transition game. She is very good at getting into the lane and finding the open teammate for an easy scoring opportunity. She is also an excellent on-ball defender. She averaged 7.8 points while making 49 3-pointers as a sophomore.
Symone Thomas 6’0″ Lutheran North: A hard-working 2022 post player who plays a very physical game in the lane. Her biggest strength is her offensive rebounding as she can carve out good position in the lane and she will aggressive attack the boards. Her offensive game is still improving, but there is a lot of potential for growth.
Ariana Williams 5’7″ Gateway Legacy (IL): An athletic 2022 guard who can play either backcourt spot. She is very good in the transition game where she can get out and showcase her slashing ability and speed in the open court. She also has a very effective mid-range jumper off the bounce.
Mackenzie Wilson 5’4″ Lift for Life: A very quick 2022 point guard who is a real asset on the defensive end with her ability to pressure the ball and be disruptive. She is good on the attack on offense with a nice pull up jumper. As a sophomore, she averaged 13 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 36 percent from 3-point range.
