In addition to the guards of the class, the forwards had the chance to solidify their skills and prove that they were amongst the State’s elite. One performance that stood out was Tualatin’s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"]</strong>, who put the State on watch as she had a dominating display against St. Mary’s in February with a 35 point, 18 rebound, 10 block performance. Up to that point, Lathrop was averaging 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks, which were some eye-popping numbers. Grant’s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Shuyler" last="Berry"]</strong> continued her season’s success amongst the State’s best forwards, one game that comes to mind is her riveting 29 point, 12 rebound effort in a loss to Benson. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158489" first="Truitt" last="Reilly"]</strong> was a big reason for Silverton’s team success all season long, as they had a largely successful season which included a victory over 6A favorite South Medford. Speaking of South Medford, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158483" first="Kaili" last="Chamberlain"]</strong>, winner of her Conference’s Player of the Year honors, looks to come back next season, reloaded, as they only graduate one starter. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158493" first="Olivia" last="Rudolph"]</strong> is another name to look out for, as she combines size with skills in the post.
<span style="font-weight: 400"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"] 2021 6’3" C (Tualatin HS)</strong> - 6’3” center that commands dominance in the middle for Tualatin. Exerts a defensive wall with her long arms, as she grabs every rebound within her jurisdiction and blocks everything near her presence. Difficult to stop on defense, as if you front her, she will command position with her body. Has a lot of fluidity to her movements, which helps her step through to lay it up on offense and keep up with offensive players and block them.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] 2021 6’1" C (Grant HS)</strong> - 6’2” post with lots of size, but two things that stand out about her immediately are her footwork and her agileness. Once she establishes herself in the post, Berry is virtually unstoppable, she is light on her feet for someone her size. Good rebounder for her height, blocks shots in her area, and has some dribbling skills as well. Is a gamer and keeps her composure during tough stretches and has a good touch from the foul line for a big.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158489" first="Truitt" last="Reilly"] 2021 6’0" PF (Silverton HS)</strong> - (Pictured) Tall, athletic, lanky forward that uses her assets for the team. Defensive minded player that gets deflections, steals, rebounds, and blocks from her stature alone. Will give the extra effort in order to help her teammates out. Plays for a Silverton team that is pass oriented, which Reilly is a big part of. Knows when and where to pass the ball and contributes a fair amount of offense herself in the form of inside points and outside shots.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158483" first="Kaili" last="Chamberlain"] 2021 SF (South Medford HS)</strong> - Fluid, very confident player that does it all for the Panthers. Player of the year for the Southwest Conference, scores the ball with ease, rebounds at an excellent pace, very strong with the ball. Has a great motor and puts it to another gear on a steal or fastbreak. Overall team player that will do it all to get the job done. Older sister Ula plays Division 1 basketball for Weber State.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158493" first="Olivia" last="Rudolph"] 2021 6’2" PF (West Salem HS)</strong> - Another solid post, standing at 6’2”, the first thing that stands out about Rudolph is her phenomenal foot work. She is a great passer at the high post, with the ability to look over defenders with her height. Can finish through defenders and at difficult angles, great rebounder that makes an impact at both ends. Made some tough baskets despite one or two defenders on her, has good strength and nimbleness for someone her size.</span>
