Here is a look at our second team selections from Baltimore metro area.
Gabby Johnson, Combo Guard, Western, 2022
"Showtime" has plenty of substance in her well rounded game but she adds flair to everything she does. A combo guard with good size, she has excellent vision and passing skills. She’s a three level scorer and a tenacious defender. Gabby has multiple D1 offers.
[player_tooltip player_id="81941" first="Marisa" last="Sanchez-Henry"], Point Guard, Howard, 2020
Marisa signed with Wagner this season and led Howard to an undefeated season. Marisa is the epitome of a floor general as she leads by example. She can score if necessary but she deferred to her teammates, setting them up for easy buckets. She is tough as nails and defends at a high level.
[player_tooltip player_id="136434" first="Tenea" last="Robinson"], Wing, Poly, 2021
Tenea is a smooth operator on the wing with a nice stroke from behind the arc. She came up big in Poly’s biggest wins of the season posting several 20 plus point games.
Satori Valentine, Point Guard, Mt. Hebron, 2020
Satori was a triple double machine and the heart and leader of the Vikings. She is a rugged and physical player that creates a lot of contact and gets to the line a ton. She is also a track star and will focus on that in college.
[player_tooltip player_id="132261" first="Charia" last="Roberts"], Forward, Pikesville, 2020
Charia signed with Loyola University this season and had a stellar year. She was a beast on the boards as usual and also scored a bunch in the paint. She was good for double double every game. She is relentless and has a high motor.
[player_tooltip player_id="163679" first="Neah" last="Henry"], Wing, Forest Park, 2021
Neah is one of the most underrated players in the area. At 5’9" she’s a bit of a tweener because she is really solid in the post area. She’s very athletic and goes hard on both ends of the court. She’s the main reason Forest Park stays in contention.
Clare Neff, Wing, Maryvale, 2020
Clare is headed to Clemson in the fall. She is a deadly long range shooter with excellent size and court vision. Exceptional leader who brings a ton of enthusiasm to the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="132282" first="Destiny" last="Ryles"], Point Guard, St. Paul’s, 2020
Destiny led St. Paul’s to their second IAAM championship in a row. She is a super competitive player with the ability to will her team to wins. Her speed and offensive aggressiveness kept defenses on their heels and got her to the foul line 8 or 9 times a game.
[player_tooltip player_id="27873" first="Nekhu" last="Mitchell"], Wing, Mcdonogh, 2022
Nekhu expanded her game in her second full high school season. She is a versatile and smooth wing who has gotten more comfortable on the perimeter on both ends of the court. She has solid post moves and finishes well in the paint. She improved her shot out to the 3 point line and rebounds well. She is holding several high mid major offers. Kayla Henderson, Point Guard, Coppin Academy, 2020 Kayla is a lightning fast point guard with a score first mentality. She is very effective off the dribble due to her solid handle and killer first step. She can knock down enough threes in a game to keep defenders honest, but her strength is getting to the basket and finishing. Kayla can also lock down on defense as she has stellar footwork and is hard to get by. She averaged 24 points and 6 assists per game and led Coppin to a final 8 appearance in the state finals.
