AAU Preview: Wisconsin Shooters 2022

Wisconsin Shooters 2022/2023 Coached by: Jenkins Below is a list of players on the Wisconsin Shooters 2022/2023 squad. This past weekend WI Shooters competed in their first tournament at the one-day Wisconsin Focus event. They showcased a high amount of intensity, skill and hard work. Each girl saw a good amount of minutes and they did well distributing the ball to one another. A stacked group with a huge size advantage, expect WI Shooters to capitalize on their talented post players this season. This team has clear on-court chemistry and is a team to watch this summer. Roster Annyka Hellendrung Megan Schultz Cailtin Huggett Brynne Petersen Payton Calouette Madison Anderegg Key players to watch: Meghan Schultz Meghan Schultz 6'4" | C New Berlin West | 2023 State WI | New Berlin West | 6’4 PF Schultz is a player to watch this season as she has just only begun to touch the surface. A still growing prospect in the class of 2023, Shultz has the size to be a major force. At 6’4 she just demands attention when she has the ball. However, she excels at handling the defensive pressure and is strong with the ball. She’s confident with the ball in her hands. She works well with her back to the basket and seems to be developing a mid-range game. Look for her to add to her shooting percentage as well. She has a great-eye for her teammates and works nicely alongside her fellow post players. The New Berlin West freshman averaged 12.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last season. Ashlyn Yow Ashlyn Yow 5'6" | PG Waukesha West | 2022 State WI | Waukesha West | 5’5 PG A versatile point guard who has a tremendously high basketball IQ. Her understanding for the game shines through in the way she distributes and scores the basketball. She’s a confident guard with great ball handling skills. She’s a crafty distributor and is impressive when threading the needle during a pass. She averaged 3.0 assists per game during her freshman campaign at Wauwatosa East. An offensive threat as well, Yow can create a game for herself. She is strong attacking the lane and has developed into a smooth three point shooter as well. Caden Krohn Caden Krohn 6'0" | PF Waukesha West | 2023 State WI | Waukesha West | 6’0 PF A strong traditional post player that thrives using her body on the block. Krohn is patient and poised with the basketball. She doesn’t force shots but is constantly contributing offensively. A post player who can step outside and knock down the three, Krohn is comfortable shooting from beyond the arc. She averaged 10.8 points per game last season. If taken lightly, Krohn is one of those players that can put up huge numbers at any given time. Jordan Reisma | Brown Deer HS | 6’2 PF A player who has been on the rise during her two seasons at Brown Deer, Reisma’s ceiling is incredibly high. She plays with so much structure and is fundamentally sound. She’s lanky and does a nice job using her length to alter shots in the lane. Her vision for blocking shots and balancing her body is beyond impressive. She averaged 4.3 blocks per game for her high school squad. An offensive threat as well, Reisma is consistent in the lane and mid-range. She appeared 13 points per game. A rebounding specialist as well, Reisma will be the go-to rebounder this summer. She impacts the game with her ability to finish strong after an offensive board. She currently holds offers from North Dakota and North Dakota State.
